Riverbend Retreat Center

Excellent retreat center to be refreshed and rejuvenate from the busy life in DFW area. The facilities are clean, service by staff was top notch and the views along with activities like trails, rock climbing, archery, soccer field, basketball court made it very desirable. Highly recommended.

Our experience at Riverbend was excellent! The cabin was nice and clean, and the staff was extremely helpful - they even stayed late to accommodate our schedule. Every activity we did was awesome, and there are many opportunities for great hiking, stargazing, and wildlife sighting. I would highly recommend using Riverbend for your next retreat!

I love this place! It's a great retreat center to meet with God and make some great memories. The sunset and sunrise views are amazing!

What an awesome place for a family retreat, by yourselves or with a group from church. There's so many activities to enjoy here, including rock climbing, a 4 story tall jungle gym for the kids, archery, sports and outdoor games and beautiful trails to walk on. Cap it off with a camp fire and you got a pretty darn good weekend!!

Hands down one of the finest, most well-thought-out facilities in the prettiest part of Texas that you could hope for.

Went to Rivervend to be a Sponsor of a Church retreat. We had a blast, and the facilities were awesome!

This place was beautiful! It was the perfect spot for a retreat for our missions organization. The rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Each meal included either a fruit bar or a salad bar, which was a huge plus for me. There's plenty to do, but also plenty of places to just sit and enjoy. A wonderful place to enjoy God's creation and take a breath.

I had a blast

Been here for 12 years now. We have our conferences and the staff there are great at accommodating our group. Lots of activities to do, and lots of ground to cover. The roads well planned and maintained, so you won't have to worry about potholes or falling into a ditch. They have cabins that are far and private, or near and convenient to other places. Not to mention, they have kid-friendly playgrounds and a kid-friendly pool. Now they also have a covered basketball court to shield you from the heat, a dedicated archery tag field, and zip lines!

Fantastic place for our children's camp each year as well retreats. Grateful for this place.

We had a great experience at Riverbend Retreat Center. Glen Rose is so beautiful so driving into the town to get to our weekend retreat was so pretty! We ate several meals at the cafeteria, and the staff did a great job. They really were into the details in the cafeteria...strawberries and whipped cream for our waffles was one of my favs. Also, our group had the "Dino-hike" excursion with Hannah. She did a great job! We enjoyed it!

This retreat has been providing a safe haven for both ministers and congregations alike for over 50 yrs. My wife and I are soooo blessed each time we come and we highly recommend your church, youth group, mens/woman's group etc check them out!!

I used to work here in the summers from 2012-2014 but I can honestly say that this place really is amazing, the people are down to earth, and God truly blessed this place! Even after I left I still think about the good times I had working here every once in a while, in fact I still have my summer work uniforms, Follow The Leader was probably my favorite theme. We had a wonderful time here for a family retreat. There is something to do for kids of all ages. All staff members were wonderful hosts. This is a Christian environment. I would highly recommend this place for anyone.
