Tradewinds Vacation Rentals

OARS AND OURS has always been such a wonderful get-away for me and my friends!! This is my 4th stay and Tradewinds Vacation Rentals is superb! The home is always spotless, well stocked (even with Starbucks Keurig pods) and well taken care of inside and out around the pool. Still feels like a brand new home after the hurricane remodel. Very relaxing and bright and cheerful!! Dale has always been pleasant to deal with, knowledgable about the area and informed us to get bait at the local Island Tackle Shop (by the way pleasant owners who know about local fishing needs!!) Love it here!!

We had a amazing stay in Sunshine's Cottage at Christmas time. Dale and Mary do a wonderful job making their guests feel welcome and at home. The house had everything we needed and more. We can't wait to go back. I highly recommend Tradewinds to anyone traveling to Port A.

I was surprised on my arrival! I was asked to sign a waiver that I would wash the dishes , take out the trash, and put all of the towels in the shower or pay a 500.00 fine! This would be okay if I knew in advance what was expected of me on my mother’s day “vacation” . That being said...it was comfortable, great cooking pans, and good air conditioning. Stay somewhere else if you don’t want to do the housekeeping. 😭 we stayed at my blue heaven.

Let me start this off by saying I rent homes about 5 times a year in different cities across the country. So we stayed in one of their homes for a 3 day bachelor weekend. After fees and taxes it came out to around $500/night for a nice 4 bedroom home with a private pool. The home was nice along with the pool. We really enjoyed our time there. However with that being said, this was the only home I have ever stayed in that to me was not ready for quest. We were expected to was dishes without being provided soap, sponge nothing! 2 bathrooms were supplied with 1 toilet paper each and 1 paper towel for the whole house. No laundry detergent was there for washing of towels we had 8 grown men staying here. When the agent was contacted about asking where the toilet paper, detergent, and other common items in rental homes may be found, he stated "that's all you get, you need to go buy you some more." I view rental homes as these very similar to hotels and while I dont expect to have it cleaned daily and beds made, I do expect common items to be stocked for guest. After all it was $500/night. Now when I told the agent I wasnt pleased he just stated "it was in the info sorry." I have never stayed at a home where these standard items weren't supplied. So with that being said although i would reccomend the home we stayed in I would not reccomend using tradewinds, once your there they got your money and could care less.
