Family Center IGA Food Store

Good parking spaces. Big grocery store. We bought fried chicken that was delicious. All prices are little up price but that is to be expected due the convenience of location. Everybody was so friendly. With the exception of an elder cashier in the first register. That lady was so rude both times we when there. So we decided to look for some other cashier to pay. They have a lot of products and variety that you don't lack any need.

I really love this store .. they have everything you need while on vacation and it's always stocked full. I really wish this store was in my hometown. HEB is good but I'm tired of them pushing their brands down my throat and not giving me the name brand choices like this place. I may be a bit different but I will pay the $ difference for the better item. Please don't let HEB on the island

Customer service is great. Pretty expensive for a grocery store but not much to choose from in the area. Good quality and helpful workers.

Port Aransas is like living in a town of 4,000 souls fifty miles from any other resources. BUT, we are fortunate enough to have a well managed grocery store with plenty of selection. quality, and great people. Yay! for Family Center IGA.

This looks tiny but they have packed literally anything you would need into it, even fishing and beach gear. It’s clean and well organized and the customer service was exemplary. It was a very busy father’s day weekend but we didn’t wait in line because they had cashiers at every register.

Very nice employees. Good selection. We understood and were ok that prices would be a little higher than in Houston.

Best place to get your fishing license on the island plus they had a great selection of every other thing you would need are a great day out of the beach. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

Checked out Family Center store on our last day trip to Port Aransas. Small but teeming with lots of goods, and very friendly, helpful staff. Dropped in for quick beach essentials. Made quick run through the aisles. They have meat, fish, bakery counters, pastries, canned goods, fruits, veggies, seafood and a variety of items usually needed for a trip to be at and enjoy the ocean. Many shelves were being restocked as we browsed. Noticed bread felt cool, so it may have come in on a refrigerated truck, or it was frozen; nonetheless it felt like it was fresh. Thank you!!

The store was packed! All the needs of a grocery store coupled with all your beach needs! Checkout lines were fast and cashier was friendly!

More than just a grocery store, it is like a mini Walmart! Always friendly staff.

Great little grocery store that seems to have everything we needed while vacationing down here in Port Aransas. We were staying at a VRBO property so we brought our own food and drinks to reduce the number of trips. But despite our preparation we needed: Shampoo (small travel size), body wash, Trash bags, Paper towels, bottle of Water (bought a 32 pack of 16 oz water), Paper bowls, plastic Spoons/forks, vegetable oil and sunscreen/Suntan lotion. Friendly staff. They also have a deli with fried chicken, Mac n cheese, potato wedges, and I even saw this morning, they breakfast too. I haven’t tried it do I can’t give an opinion. They do have some Port Aransas swag too. No need to stress if you forgot something b/c this store seems to have you covered.

Great selection and super nice people

Every time I go to Port Aransas I go to the local IGA! Their prices are not all that bad and they have a very unique selection of food!

Love this little store. Deli has great gizzards. Lots of fresh food. Prices are higher but that’s to be expected for the convenience.
