Sea & Sand Cottages

Can’t wait to come back to Port Aransas! The cottage was fantastic and had everything to make you feel at home.The reviews about Matt were right on, yes it does make a difference family owned versus a corporate business. The restaurants were amazing, shops had little of everything. The locals are super friendly and just can’t say enough other than next trip we’re hoping to stay 2 weeks!

I love this place Matthew was on point and was very awesome I really enjoyed it for my kids.. The pool was our favorite place not to deep for our kids I will definitely be back next year Thank you Matthew

There's one really bad review on here from 6 years ago. I've been going there yearly or more frequently for about that long. Me and my partner and our dogs. Matthew is such a gracious host. Leaves you alone unless you need something (or I imagine if you caused a problem, but never saw or heard that happening). The grounds are always clean and well trimmed, the rooms are always clean! Very! None of that fine beach sand on the floors, I don't know how they get it up! Never saw a stained towel or sheet or blanket. Furniture is not brand new, but beds are comfortable and seating and WiFi are great.
Sorry we forgot to take out the trash when we left this time! (As part of leaving you on your own for the whole stay, you have to wash the dishes that you use in your own and take out your own trash to the property dumpster when you leave, small prices to pay!)
We absolutely LOVE this place! It's quiet, peaceful, gracious, and independent! You can get cheaper bedding in Port Aransas, but you get what you pay for here. Quick golf cart (if you rent one on the island) ride from the beach, takes us like 4 minutes to get to the beach for sunrise every morning.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Matthew was helpful. It exceptional clean and had no issues I love the porch swing. The pool was a plus and not a far drive to the beach. Walking distance to the grocery store. I highly recommend this location.

I can’t say enough about this property! I’ve stayed here multiple times and it has always been fantastic. Firstly, Matthew is a total class act! I can honestly say from experience that many properties don’t even bother to answer emails or return voice messages. This is not the case here. Matthew provides service, beyond outstanding- he’s extremely responsive and accommodating. Beyond that: it’s exceptionally clean, the pool is also exceptionally clean and such a nice amenity. One of the nicest smaller pools I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Location A+, staff A+, cottages A+. I literally don’t have one negative thing to say about anything concerning this property. You will not be disappointed staying here. As far as we’re concerned it’s the best accommodations on island! So comfortable, was an absolute pleasure staying with you- we WILL be back! ☀🏖🌊 🎣

Edit to include that YAS!!! The beds in all cottages we’ve stayed in (3, 6 & 7) were extremely comfortable! So, so nice to sleep well and in perfect comfort!

This was a great place to stay. Cottages are clean and very nicely decorated. We had five in our party, and we’re very comfortable. Kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to have fresh seafood in house. Great location, walk to all the shops in town, and just 5 blocks to the beach. They even have a pool my grandson enjoyed. Matthew made checking in a breeze. Definitely recommend, and definitely staying again.

My stay here was wonderful! I had the yellow cottage. The space in the cottage, the pool, amenities and distance from the beach is perfect. Booked my next stay already for later this summer ☀ My family had such a relaxing weekend here and Mr.Matt is the best !

Honestly, at first sight online, this place looked a little...shady. But I gave it a chance because it fit the specifics I was looking for when it was time to reserve a room. When my family and I arrived, I was surprised at how cute it actually is. We had such a great time there, I just wish we could've stayed longer. Just a short walk/drive to the beach AND to the strip in the opposite direction. What made it better is the fact that "Matthew" made us feel right at home. He was extremely friendly, funny, and informative. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality! We will definitely stay there again the next time we're in town.

Our niece and nephew took us here. Letty "lala" and Z. It was their favorite place. We plan to go again soon. Mr Matthew took us around where the locals go and eat. Mr Matthew had the place frying red snapper for us. Delicious by the way. Took us around to go deep sea fishing while the women went shopping! Mr Matthew we'll see you soon.!!!

I enjoyed my stay here at the Sea and Sand Cottages. The accomodations were excellent. It's centrally located in Port Aransas and just a few blocks from the beach.
My only complaint, if you want to call it that, would be that the shower is very small. I'm 6' 2" and it was difficult to move around in there.
Other than that everything else was great. I really like having access to a full kitchen including a microwave, coffee maker, and a full size refrigerator with an Ice maker.
I would definitely stay here again.

We brought our two small dogs for a three night stay in June 2017 for our combined birthday get away. Found everything to be really nice and very clean. Cute and roomy 1950's cottages, with a private deck that we spent lots of time sitting on. Staff were very responsive and I felt like I could have asked for anything I needed, but the cottage was stocked with everything we could use for our stay. We felt very welcome and would definitely stay here again. Port A is a great way to take a break from the city. Walking distance to everything, including Shells restaurant which was spectacular. Great place to stay and great little community to visit. People were friendly everywhere. Thanks Matthew!

Was truly our home away from home! Just blocks from the beach, restaurants, shopping & attractions. We stayed 7 nights & didn't want to leave. Matthew & staff were very attentive. Sea & Sand Cottages will definitely be our Port A vacation spot from now on! Highly recommend!

This place is great! The owner is awesome. They make you feel very welcome. It is dog friendly. Has a pool and the beach is not far away at all. Plenty of little stores close enough (walking distance) to take care of your needs. The cottage itself is very clean and has all the ammenities you would need (including small personal charcoal grill outside of each unit). I highly recommend giving this place a try. And did I mention how awesome the ownership is? Thank you for a great stay!

I have been staying here for over 3 years. Matt is my to go place in Port Aransas. Pet friendly, clean, quaint, and very comfortable. The staff is amazing! If you want fancy Condo, knock yourself out. I am a repeat customer for life.

My daughter and I, as well as our Yorkie, stayed in cottage number seven. Two days after arriving back home, we are going through some serious beach withdrawal. The property was just as seen in photos, and even exceeded our expectations! Matthew was a wonderful host, and made us feel right at home. The cottage was well outfitted and had everything we could have wanted, and then some. The entire property was clean, neat and tidy, the bed was super comfy. Our time was too short for sure, and we’re eager to return!

Awesome! My husband and I were in town to stay at our RV and the A/C went out. At 8:00pm I called and Kathy was nice enough to help us out with a place to stay at the last minute. The places are super cute and clean. It was fully stocked with linens, full size refrigerator and fully stocked kitchen. I loved the private back porch and the parking is right in front of the door. We ended up staying two nights and enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for the great experience during a weekend where we felt like we just couldn't catch a break.

We LOVED our stay at the Sea and Sands Cottages! Our cottage was so cute and very clean. We loved the beach feel and the back porch with the swing was the best. The kids loved it. Matthew is great. We can’t wait to come back next year for our annual Port A trip!

It is definitely a cute quiet place to stay. It has everything you need except beach towels. Which was a ok with us.

Absolutely loved this place. Extremely affordable too. The service was amazing, fast, and friendly too. This is our new Port Aransas vacation spot.
