Bubba's Fat Burgers & BBQ

Probably the best Mom n Pop restaurant in Gilmer. They have an amazing breakfast menu and their burgers and barbecue are top notch. Prices are reasonable! If you come away from here hungry, it's your own fault.

Bubba’s catered our class reunion. The food was delicious! They had everything set up just as promised. All of their staff were so friendly and helpful. Their green beans and banana pudding were absolutely amazing!!!!
I have also been in their Gilmer restaurant location and their Bubba Burger is the best ever!! Come hungry because it’s huge. For smaller appetites the Ms Mary Burger is a great option! Their staff at the restaurant are always smiling and happy.

Everything's homemade from scratch. The amount of chicken I got for the price was insane. This is true old school american quality. Not the fast food nation quality we are slowly becoming in America.

A true gem. Local made sausage and good soul food. The beef tips and rice taste like they were made by family and the turnip greens were hearty and not bitter in the least. I can't wait to come back

Fantastic place. They half chicken I got was extremely good. I will be back for sure. Very friendly staff. I ordered ahead by phone they had it ready as soon as I got there.

As a truck driver it is so hard to find good good. This place has the best food I have eaten in a very long time. I reminded me of my mother in laws cooking. Super DELICIOUS!

Great place for a good breakfast for sure. Huge portions and great prices. One thing, this is not fast food, so don't expect record breaking speed, but trust me the food is worth the wait. Its delicious!! Service is friendly and genuine down home nice!! Be sure to check out the historical marker behind the restaurant. You learn something every day!!

Coming to Gilmer, TX for a job related event and was taken here by my Instructor and the "Fat Burger" was delicious! The only thing I didn't bring with was a pillow and a blanket! Cause after that burger it was sleepy time!

Don’t miss the opportunity to have some home cooking! Came here for lunch on Christmas Eve. Chicken Fried Chicken and Ms. Willie Burger Basket (no bun for me). It was delicious!

This place is the perfect hole in the wall to get amazing food! My fiance had their Monster Burger. It was huge! Even he couldn't finish it and let me take a few bites! Go check this place out for real.

The lunch and supper are always delicious and fresh. The food is cooked to order so sometimes there is a wait. The breakfast is not as good but I may have ordered the wrong thing.

Traveling and passing through and decided to stop and grab something to eat. We just missed the breakfast, which they stop serving at 10am. Very clean and very friendly! Probably one of the best customer services experiences in a long while! Orderd the chicken fried chicken....and it was the best I have ever had. The white cream gravy was perfect. Definitely marking this one on the map to hit up next time we are in the area.
(Word of advice....some of the meats they offer won't be ready till later in the afternoon/evening because they take time to smoke them right. So if you come in for lunch, a few things might be limited.)

If you want good food and lots of it then this is the place for you. My smothered pork chop was a full inch thick... the turnip greens reminded me of meals at home a long time ago. My friend had meat loaf which was equally good. We decided it is a return to place and bring our families.

Everything we had was a 5 star. So glad we were sent here by a local business owner.
