Sara the manager at this location helped resolve a drop off problem that broke down 3 times via phone with main office, 1 time in person & several $ charges later with the Uptown location. She went the extra mile after I wasted hours on the phone dealing with my drop location a week later. And they still tried to stick her with the problem she was not involved in. Shady. Rent from this location.

After having a really bad experience with the national Uhaul booking, Paul Crawford at this local U-haul was awesome. He fixed my issue that the national group had made and and was very kind about my issues even though he didn't cause them.

He went out of his way to make it right for me as a customer even though he didn't have to. I would recommend him to anyone in the Birmingham area especially Gardendale, Fultondale, and Mount Olive since he is so close.

Robert is AMAZING!! A difficult move he made it easy from the time I walked in. Was super informative and easygoing. Very professional. If uhaul keeps employees like this ill rent every move!!!

In and out with no issues and a friendly staff

My husband recently used this location and was very impressed with the staff, their knowledge and having the things there he needed to make his trip necessary. We will definitely use them in the future!

The Good: Kelly Cobb was professional and practical. When the climate control stopped working she worked hard at rectifying our bill. Our items were safe. The units were clean. The office restroom was clean.

The Bad: Climate control was not working but we were originally going to be billed for it. But, like I said Kelly helped.

In Conclusion: Pretty good experience! Get what you pay for The extra $10 or $20 is worth better customer service, cleaner climate controlled units, and the safety of your items.

A bit off the beaten path, but lower prices than most storage. And, it does have the smallest storage spaces (5x5-ft).

The usual remote Uhaul station. Usually come here for propane, but have to have plenty of patience stored up because it's always one person working that does everything. This location can get pretty busy at moments which could mean 30-45 mins or more before you can get helped. On the good side, propane refill is reasonably priced. More associates and faster service they would get 2 more stars.

Rented a car hauler. When picked up we were hooking up the chains and the person working there informed us we were doing it wrong and hooked it up. Well, within hours the chains were broke. Thankfully the national roadside assistance came out while we were on our trip and replaced all chains and hooked them up the way we were hooking them up when we were told we were doing it wrong. Person working that day was filling in for the normal personnel.

DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS HERE!!! $10k+ OF WATER DAMAGE (NO FLOODING) AS THE UNITS ARE NOT PROTECTIVE AGAINST THE ELEMENTS. We put our stuff in belongings while we were in the process of selling our house and moving cross country. We put it in one of the truck box storage units when you first pull in for about 3 months. EVERYTHING WAS WATER AND DIRT DAMAGED. the units provided no protection from the weather. There wasn't even any extreme weather, just general bama weather. We'd have been better just putting it in the yard with a tarp loosely covering it. Management did nothing because we didn't purchase insurance. But insurance is for severe weather damage like floods and what not. This is just general weather. Nothing extreme. They just lack the ability to provide any protection. Over $10k damage. Had to throw a lot of large furniture pieces away. Tvs not working from moisture. The box truck units are a money grab. Will never use U-Haul for storage again.
