THASSOS GREEK RESTAURANT

An excellent Greek restaurant! I was solo, so the bar worked. I had smelts, grilled octopus, Greek salad, & yogurt honey & nuts for dessert. Looking forward to trying one of several whole fish next time.

I cannot recommend Thassos enough! The service is stellar and the drinks and food are amazing and made with love! You can tell the owners of the restaurant really care that you have the best experience! If you’re looking for quality Greek food, and you’re reading this review, just do yourself a favor and make a reservation!

Celebrated the holidays with a meal here for 6 of us and everyone loved their food. I got the whole sea bass and potatoes and it was delicious! We also had a white wine that everyone enjoyed (HATZIMICHALIS Sauvignon Blanc). Highly recommend the grilled octopus as an appetizer! Service was great as well!

Walking into the restaurant, I noticed the Greek music playing outside, nice touch. I was greeted with a warm welcome and seated promptly. The server was kind and explained what certain authentic foods were to help us make our menu choice. He also ensured our waters were filled at all times (small detail much appreciated). The food was delicious with very generous portions. Calm ambiance, simple decor, very classic with beautiful pictures of Greece. Another appreciated detail was when the owner stopped at our table, I don’t see that at many restaurants. I definitely plan on returning to this hidden gem. 😊

I love this place! The staff was so kind to us. They definitely made us feel like we were right at home. The owners are amazing.
Our food was absolutely delicious. I was planning on saving some leftovers for my lunch but I just couldn't, It was too good to leave for the next day.
Definitely will be returning and this may be our new favorite spot!

This is without a doubt the best Greek restaurant in the area. The cold octopus appetizer was delicious, as were the whole sardines. The whole red snapper and it was the best fish we have ever had, grilled to perfection with a lemon olive oil sauce.

The owners and staff are amazing and knowledgeable. Any time we ask for food or wine recommendations we are not disappointed, and we feel taken care of.

This is the restaurant we return to time and time again. It is comfortable and classic enough for a nice family dinner while being upscale enough for a romantic night out.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday (without reservations), and the staff was so sweet to accommodate us last minute. The food is authentic and delicious, and the staff and atmosphere were exceptional. Highly recommend. We’ll be back, for sure!

The hosts were hospitable, seating was comfortable and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. Growing up next door to Greeks and spending a summer in Greece, the food definitely lived up to my expectations! Presentation was beautiful and staff were knowledgeable and professional. Dessert was delicious. I highly recommend. I'll definitely be a repeat customer!

This is the place we take friends and family who are also foodies. We've been here twice and both times have been perfection for both service and food!

Wine and beer selection are great, they make a perfect dirty martini.

Saganaki, cold dip trio, and their fresh bread are great choices to start the meal.

Their Moussaka is excellent, any of their lamb dishes will impress, and the Greek potatoes are perfectly seasoned. The only item I haven't been impressed with is their Salmon, compared to the flavors of other dishes, this lacked complexity.

Looking forward to visiting again, and hopefully one of these times we'll have room to try their desserts. They just extended their outdoor seating area as well!

I'm Greek, and was visiting my daughter who lives in a Chicago suburb. We chose this place for carryout because she had been there once for lunch. We got a complete carryout for the entire family and it was excellent. Fantastic lamb chops, and reasonably priced for a high-end Greek restaurant. Very friendly staff!

Surely one of the best Greek Restaurants in the western suburbs and arguably all of Illinois. A phenomenal authentic wine list, and some of the best entrees I’ve had in a long time. Service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Very authentic- reminds me of Greece!

Thassos Greek restaurant was an excellent choice for dinner during our visit. The service was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was great. The server recommended the most delicious dish and I couldn't be more satisfied with our experience. I recommend this establishment to anyone who's looking for an authentic Greek experience.

We went to Thassos 'last minute' on a Saturday night, never been there before. Really surprised about the size of this place, but with the different rooms and levels, it still feels comfortable. We had the stuffed pepper and tomato and the lamb fournou as entrees. Both were outstanding. And our waiter, Joe, absolutely fantastic. We will go back for sure.

Try the grilled octopus....so good! Our meal was great, service was excellent and bathrooms clean. My only slight complain: Too soft and bland bread. Could be a tad better slightly toasty or warmed for my taste. Otherwise great place!

Absolutely the best Greek around. Makes me forget about an island somewhere. The food is on point, but the service is very high end and friendly. Great place for a private function, also.

Authentic Greek food! Great atmosphere. We loved everything and being Greeks ourselves we are a discerning crowd.

This restaurant is the place to be. We went to try something different, and boy we were not disappointed. The service and food was absolutely phenomenal. The staff were friendly and so welcoming. Do yourself a favor and try some authentic Greek food that will blow your mind. I tried the spinach and beet salad with salmon. CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN AND TRY EVERYTHING ON THEIR MENU.

This was the best Greek food we've had in decades! And the ambience & service were great -- it felt like being in a fine seafood house. They served us a Greek Chardonnay that impressed my wine-connoisseur husband. We will be back to further explore the menu!

We went there to celebrate a couple of birthdays and got a private room. All of us ordered very different dishes and everyone. Including myself, loved the food. The server was attentive but not annoying.
