I try to come here when ever I am in town. This is a local place with a good selection of ice cream. And about 8 none dairy ice creams. The staff was nice and helpful. The service was quick.

We used to come here when we were little, so we decided to stop in for a visit. This place never disappoints, so many flavors to choose from and all look so delicious, not to mention how you want your ice cream, in a bowl, in a cone, in a cup or a shake. So hard to choose and they give so much ice-cream. It's like you've died and gone to ice cream heaven. Friendly staff, clean and reasonably priced. Definitely worth the trip.

Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. This might be my favorite ice cream shop. There is such a good selection of flavors, and lots of good seasonal flavors too. The service is good and they give you quite generous scoops. I don’t get many chances to come here, but when I do it’s always a pleasure.

As soon as you walk in you feel the atmosphere of an upbeat and fun place. An awesome ice cream shop they have three cashiers to help the line go quickly and everyone is really helpful service and very kind. I was excited about this place in the middle of a forest area, we all got different selections of ice cream and every single one was very satisfying. The serving sizing was more than expected, Will definitely come back and try other selections.

10/10 recommend this place. I make a 45 minute drive just to get ice cream because it’s SO worth it. They have flavors on flavors of ice cream and also have vegan and dairy free options! Their prices are more than fair and the employees are always awesome!! I always get a small (pictured in my review) for I believe $4.25. You can choose two flavors with the small and really it’s like 2 whole cups of ice cream! They have scooped ice cream and also shakes. This is my go to ice cream place. They also have a really nice outside patio that’s spacious with lots of benches/picnic tables.

Great place for a quick date night and/or taking your children out for some ice cream. They have so many flavors to choose from that you won't be dissatisfied. Great prices and service. It's a must try.

Had the best strawberry sundae ever. Loved the service and the seating outside. The old time decor is wonderful in this place.
I also bought the turtle pretzels, LOVED IT!

The place to get Your Ice Cream! Whenever You are nearby this ice cream shop, stop in for Their delicious homemade ice cream. Plenty of flavors to choose from. You can either sit inside or outside. Lots of parking and lots of seating areas outdoors. They also have Coffee and Muffins too. ENJOY!

I ordered moose tracks in a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Delicious! Despite being really busy, service was quick & friendly. I sat outside with my friend at one of the picnic tables that provided a good amount of shade.

Absolute best ice cream in the United States in my opinion. It is a historic place and is decorated very nicely. You definitely won't be disappointed bringing the kids here as there are a lot of little fun things for them to do around the property while they eat their ice cream. You can tell the owners care how about the experience not just making money on ice cream.

I’ve searched high and low for some black walnut ice cream. It was a true blessing to come across this place, so close to my area. The customer service was excellent. I highly recommend this ice cream shop. You have definitely gained a regular. Job well done!

Use to come here all the time as a kid. Finally came here as an adult. The icecream is still amazing! And always crowded. I don't remember them loading up your order but definitely can say you get your money's worth (, I order 3 scoops and got 6)!

I’m from Dallas so we don’t have this place around I’m so glad I came here as opposed to a namebrand joint. There are so many choices. I picked three and felt bad having to leave three off…and my goodness not only the flavor busts the actual ice cream is to die for, very creamy. Staff are friendly and guide you to whatever you’re feeling that day. I wish y’all could make your way out to north Texas.

Plush horse is simply fantastic!

The ice cream and shakes are all made in house and of such quality that there is only one other main brand (I won't name) that can come close to their quality.

With such a selection of ice cream choices can be difficult and this allows you to come back again sooner :)

The place is often busy on weekends and after dinner time as this is a convenient and lovely spot for families and passers by.

Cute little hidden gem in Palos. This ice cream shop has OVER 100 FLAVORS!!!! They also offer dairy-free flavors. This is my second time visiting and the staff is always friendly. Can’t wait to be back on a summer night to enjoy the outdoor seating area.

I just want to give The Plush Horse Ice Cream Shop 5 stars for adapting to COVID-19 with an excellent curb-side service. I got a recommendation to go there for homemade ice cream and upon arriving found out how it worked. In the parking lot there is a special row of curbside only parking spaces with signs that are numbered. Park there and if you need a menu, there was an outdoor stand with individual flyers that list everything they sell. I was amazed at all the different flavors of ice cream they handle. It took a few minutes for our car to read it all to decide. Then call in your order, pay over the phone with a credit card or they will take cash when they deliver your items. When ready your order is delivered to the car window. Everything was bagged extremely well, and also came with a coupon for a free jr cone and also a small bottle of hand cleaner on Halloween & attached to the bag which was a very nice idea on Halloween. Their cones are served upside down in a cup (see my photo). We decided on Strawberry Waffle Cone, Hot Fudge Sunday and Cotton Candy Ice Cream in a cup.

Undeniably my favorite ice cream place! This place gets really busy and packed not just for summer season but even winter that’s how customers love and enjoy their ice cream. Place is small and has few seats but in the summer they do have outdoor seats which is great. The staff are efficient and friendly.Parking space gets busy specially summer but all in all I love the variety of flavors of their ice cream and gelato plus other sweet treats and ice cream cake. They have reasonable price range for their ice cream and generous servings which is awesome!

Wow, nostalgia alert! The ice cream was better than I remember growing up! The store is bigger and now have parking which is amazing since it is so busy. Note busy does not mean you wait long to order or receive your treats! Highly recommend.
