We staged a car at either end of the River Link trail for an early spring hike. Highlight was a battle of 5 robins. Trail was challenging at times with a lot of trees down and some swampy and muddy areas due to recent heavy rain but still a great hike.

Beautiful coastal hiking! Didn't see a single person for almost 2 hours from the McKay Road all the way until I got into Dodge Point. I chased daylight, but made it back to McKay just before dark.

This is a great trail! My friends and I run it often. If you connect from Dodge Point Preserve and go to the end on the McKay Rd. It's 5 miles give or a take a few tenths. So 10 mile round trip hike/run!
