Maliheh Jahedi, DMD

I so love this dentist she explains everything in detail. She is not one that sits you and her chair, work on your mouth and says see you in 3 or 6 months. She cares about her patients and she appears to love what she is doing. I thank her very much for caring!

I really can't find the words to describe how grateful I am for Dr. Jahedi and her staff. I had the same dentist since I was a child. My son was also her patient. When she retired a few years ago, I almost gave up on trying to find another dentist to replace her. A little over a year ago I took my son and my niece to see Dr. Jahedi. She is one amazing Doctor!! And a very special, kind person. I would recommend her to everyone I know. Dr. Jahedi is truly the BEST dentist!!

One star for the ease of making an appointment the same day in an emergency, and the other star is for the nice technician who assisted the doctor with the X-ray.

I thought after reading all of these 5 star reviews for Dr. Jahedi my experience would be good, but I was wrong. I came in with a bad toothache which happened to be a cavity and I needed a filling asap.

As we started the X-ray, Dr. Jahedi kept saying she would not be paid if I had an X-ray done on the tooth that was hurting after I repeatedly told her I did not. After the X-ray, I asked her a few times what the issue was and did not get a clear response. Instead of her telling me, she went off about all the reasons I had a cavity. I get where she was coming from, but instead of coming up with a treatment plan, she started to lecture me. She also started telling me that people who have my insurance treat it as a luxury and that dentists don't get paid enough with this insurance. I found this to be highly unprofessional. I came to you because you accept my insurance and from my understanding, isn't it up to the provider whether they want to take this insurance or not? She can refuse to see patients that have this insurance if she thinks they aren't paying her enough.

Although my cavity was pretty bad and causing me pain, she refused to do the filling without doing a cleaning first. She also told me if my gums were bleeding the day of the the appointment, she would refuse to do the treatment. This is the first I've heard of any dentist doing this.

Honestly what a bad experience, I would never return to her, to be humiliated over what insurance you have and to be told that we treat it as a luxury is unacceptable. This is ultimately up to the doctor whether or not they want to accept this insurance, especially if she is the owner of the clinic. Please don't humiliate people and treat them badly because you think you aren't getting paid enough.
