Beautiful place to visit right outside the city. Nice trails through the woods. Peaceful, tranquil place to go for a run when I just can't fathom the idea of looking at my hideous wife and children any longer. Definitely two 👍🏼 up. I envision visiting here over and over again and again.

Beautiful lake. Nice place to have a picnic, walk around, fish, or just hang out by the water.

There is parking on three sides of Maple Lake, the east side is good for picnics, the North side is decent for fishing, and the west side I believe is the boat entrance.

Fun fact: Lake House the movie with Keanu Reeves was filmed here.

I love just relaxing and hanging out her. it's safe no gangs or violence very safe spot for the family or just to be alone I even Pokemon go hunt here.

Visited for the Palos Meltdown MTB festival. I was surprised at the quality of trails for mountain biking. There was a lot of fun fast single track with technical corners. No real elevation changes which is unfortunate. As someone without a car I wish it was tied into the public transit system from downtown Chicago to make it more accessible.

Many friendly bikers, hikers and runners with knowledgeable trail etiquette.

Huge forest preserve area with lots of trails clean and neat, few lakes too and places to make a barbeque
