I had just found this park when I was at the Gray Henry Pennell Municipal Complex registering my cars. The pictured sign is right behind the Municipal Complex where a walking trail starts around the park. The park is part of the land from the Pennell Institute that was giving to the town of Gray in 1876. I am going to walk the trail and see what the structures are at the edge of the woods along the trail. The trail goes all around the park and out onto Main Street. If you follow the trail it circles the grounds of the Historic Henry Pennell Institute which formerly housed the town's high school and a laboratory building. The grounds are now used by Gray Parks and Recreation for the softball field, outdoor basketball court, gym and beach volleyball courts.
