Kirin Sushi & Hibachi

Just tried Kirin for the first time a couple weeks ago and have ordered quite a few times since! Best sushi and fried rice in the area. Only a couple tables inside but it’s a nice quiet little place to hang while eating.

Delicious and fresh! Loved the food here! It’s small with a couple tables. We ate here once and picked up food the second time. Loved it!

Delicious little spot. This isn’t a sit down restaurant, only about 2 small tables. Definitely an incredible takeout spot. The fried rice was INSANE! The best I’ve had. Their prices and lunch portions are amazing. It’s great to have a spot that offers lots of sushi, but also hibachi or cooked foods for some variety or for those who don’t eat raw fish. Give this place a try for your next to go order.

UPDATE: Ordered again on 10/30/22, a year after my first review, and the quality is still UNMATCHED!!!!!!! The fish to rice ratio for the sushi is insane!! So much fish! We tried the Crab Rangoons and when I tell you there was no oil residue in the takeout box which is unheard of…. The oil that it is fried in is very clean. Sooo so happy that even after a year, Kirin is still top 3 sushi I’ve had (Visiting from South FL) :) The quality of the food is fantastic, the place is super clean. Also, they package the food so nicely!

Consistently delicious! There is soooo much food, even in the lunch portions - enough for 2-3 meals. The staff is always friendly and so fast. Try it - you won't be disappointed!

My first visit this restaurant was on last summer, then visit on a weekly basis. It's one of my favorite spots in my local area. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the presentation is absolutely beautiful, never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Overall, I highly recommend Kirin for anyone who is looking for delicious and high-quality sushi takeout in the area. It's definitely worth checking out!!!

My coworkers and I order Kirin every week. Orders are always correct, always fresh and taste great. The workers a super kind even when it’s busy. They have a great selection of items and specials. Also, we love the goons. Kirin forever.

Hibachi is always great, and this place has probably the best chicken fingers of any asian restaurant I’ve been to in Maine. We ♥ Kirin.

Cute small mom and pop sushi spot. This place is mainly a takeout joint and had a few tables there one decides to dine in.

When my family and I attended; the service was fast, friendly, and accurate. We sat at the hibachi table and our chef was funny and engaging. The portions were generous and it was very well made.

I live in Portland but happened to be in Scarborough for a late appointment so I picked up takeout on my way home. I ordered 2 rolls - both which were delicious - and edamame. Because of the size of the rolIs I was able to have dinner for 2 nights in a row! I have eaten sushi from MANY different places (I also lived in the Boston area for many years) and this was definitely one of the best. Fish was very fresh and there was a generous amount in each roll. The restaurant is not a sit down place but would highly recommend for takeout. This is my first Google review so the fact I took the time to do it might tell you something😉

Our experience at Kirin was unmatched. The food is expertly curated, delicious, and unique. We could NOT get over how high-quality the food was. The seating is limited as this is mostly a take-away spot, but the energy of the establishment is superb all the same. I accidentally spilled soy sauce just about everywhere and the kind staff immediately jumped in to help and accommodate me. The customer service combined with the food has made this one of our favorite sushi eateries to date. We’ll be back!

Recently, I was recommended by a friend to try out Kirin Sushi & Hibachi. I decided to try out the food today and I have to admit, their food is amazing. I really like the music they were music playing which made the atmosphere ten times better. Staff members are great and my food was made pretty fast as well. When I tried the orange chicken, it felt like the best orange chicken I've ever had. Along with that, I also decided to try some maki rolls and the sushi is amazing, definitely a top tier sushi place that I would recommend. The prices of the food are relatively generous and I strongly suggest to try it out for anyone who likes sushi.

We dined in and the staff are so wonderful and friendly. The food was served quickly and it was delicious. Definitely our favorite sushi spot.

I have been eyeing this place for a while and decided to stop by for lunch. Very happy with the service and food quality. Ordered the sushi 5pc with California roll, the any 3 roll (OOB roll, yellow tail and spicy tuna) and the lo mein special. Yumm

I got the Kirin for 1, Salmon Box, and Salmon Avocado roll. Very fresh fish, quality nigiri and sashimi, and fair prices. The host, Kai, was very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations. Best place in Scarborough by far! I can’t wait to come back again!

AN absolutely HIDDEN GEM! We have miso soup, gyoza, bento chicken teriyaki and beef broccoli everything are on the spot!

Holy cow... I just ate the best sushis ever. My friends and I had the most consistent, tasteful and delicious sushis ever. I will highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family forever! God bless women and Kirin Sushi & Hibachi!

Best sushi ever, hands down! My husband and I travel a lot, and we both agreed that the portions of fish you receive are superior to other sushi restaurants. The mackerel was very fresh, and the white tuna was especially delicious. I recommend the jalapeño roll or mango roll. I was surprised to see actual chunks of lobster in the lobster salad topping the All-Star roll. Only in Maine!!

Best sushi me and my friends ever ate. Recommend 100%!! If I ever lose my taste I will remember this as the best food I would have ever eaten.
