Participated in a farm tour and it was great! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and we learned much about the river and the oysters of Maine. After the tour, we indulged in a variety of tasty oysters and received some assistance as to proper oyster shucking…it proved to be very helpful. Schedule a visit when in open season and come experience a delightful excursion.

One of the best Oyster experiences in Maine. The farm is right down the trail from the shop. It's all the best raw oysters in mid coast Maine. Relatively cheap on price, partly you get to Shuck the oysters yourself. They do give tours and shocking classes as well.

I joined the tour on Monday. So glad I did that. It was very informative and fun.

Shucking my own oysters was exciting and awesome experience. They always make sure we get it (safely) after a (few) lesson(s). I truly enjoyed each of delicious 33 oysters with a can of lovely dry sparkling rose, and everything here.

Everyone was so kind and friendly (both professional staffs and customers). They all made my birthday trip meaningful and I feel so blessed. A lady with a pink top was so kind to ask me if I would like her to take a picture (since I was traveling by myself. I have my full of my picture, not just a selfie, finally!). The other 2 couples that I met prior the tour started were also wonderful.

I ended up staying longer than I was planning for this stop "worth every second". I finally made with to shuck my own oysters at the end -- thanks to everyone! It was so relaxing at the outdoor area where we learned how to shuck oysters using their equipment and towel. I appreciate the outdoor cleaning station where we can empty our shells, trash, and washing our hands.

Highly recommend for a tour and a wonderful experience/lesson shucking your own oysters with great conversations.

What wonderful experience! Visited Glidden Point Oyster Farms for a tour of their operation. Kathryn was our guide and really opened our eyes to the history of the local oyster industry. We learned the history, biology and complexities of oyster farming. Obviously a very labor intensive business. We sampled a variety of regional Maine oysters and appreciated the variations in flavor. Hats off to the Glidden Oyster Farm team!

My husband said our visit to Glidden Point was his favorite part of our trip thru Maine! We started with the tour (about 45 minutes, $10pp), and we learned so much about oysters and oyster farming. It was fun to go down to the dock and see all the oysters being cleaned/prepped. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and so friendly! I was a little nervous about the oysters being shuck-your-own only, but then they TAUGHT us how to shuck which was so special and so fun! The oysters were great and the vibes by the picnic tables were great!

Best oysters ever, and the prices are unbeatable. Staff is super helpful, and the tour (11am & 1pm for $5) is a MUST! Local clams and mussels also available for purchase. Eat in, take out, or shipped, it's all good! Quintessential Maine views too. Highly recommended!

Had a great afternoon with my wife today. They had four different oysters to choose from, and the combo platter was $25 for a dozen, which is what we chose. After sampling, we both had our favorites and got another dozen of the ones we liked best, still at the $25 price. You have to shuck your own oysters, but if you don't know how, they will show you. If you have never shucked an oyster, they will taste better after you've opened your own! They also have a good beer and wine menu to accompany the oysters. Lastly, the view is awesome! All this together makes for a great visit! Highly recommended!

Such a great place - we love the Glidden Point oysters, but also it was just such a nice afternoon spent shucking out on the back patio area, overlooking the river the oysters are pulled from! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Maine. Really appreciated the shucking refresher lesson too!

We started with a guided tour of the oyster farm, led by Michael. He was very knowledgeable. Afterwards, we purchased some shuck your own oysters. They offered oysters from their farm and some other local farms. Delicious!!

Had a wonderful lunch break with a guided tour and a hands on oyster tasting! Micheal was great at explaining interesting facts and provided a very good idea of how oyster farming works. Definitely a place to include when visiting the area

My boyfriend and I went on a tour of the oyster farm and it was super cool! You learn a lot about the history of oyster farming and the process. The farm also has shuck your own oysters, beer and wine.

We had the oysters at a great restaurant up in North Conway , NH , Deacon Street where they serve Glidden Bay oysters ( select ) the oysters are so good we decided to take a motorcycle ride to visit Glidden Bay Oysters in Edgecomb, Maine. What an incredible place! Shuck your own oysters that were just harvested while sipping your favorite beverage in their cute outdoor seating area. The oysters were wonderful and very reasonably priced. They provide cloth napkins, a shucking knife and moral support. Wonderful spot! I will definitely be back!

Visited on a rainy day, so couldn’t take the tour, but got to try some absolutely fantastic oysters! We loved our experience on the back patio and had so much fun learning to shuck our own oysters. Highly recommend coming for some really tasty oysters, at a reasonable price!

Came here for a late afternoon snack.
Lovely place to relax and enjoy some amazing oysters and drinks. Also appreciated the small snack menu as my partner doesn't eat oysters so there was food for both of us.
Would certainly come back!

I've enjoyed oysters forever! The tour was a fun way to learn about how they grow and the harvesting process. Shucking a dozen for ourselves was fun and rewarding! Great place to visit while in Maine!

Great kid friendly experience. Tour was very tailored to the small group based on the questions. Neat to see how a small businesses like this functions.
Very helpful with teaching us how to shuck the oysters and checked back to make sure we had the hang of it.

Afternoons in the picnic grove eating oysters, having a beer or wine, looking at the water. And to Igor listening to great music!

I got to take the first tour in two seasons and the guide was very knowledgeable about oyster cultivation along the damariscotta.

Oysters were reasonably priced and extremely fresh. They will even show you how to shuck them!

Very friendly and helpful staff.
