This was my 3rd time wearing braces and by far the best experience. They are truly one of the best teams in healthcare that I have had the pleasure being a patient of. I always scheduled my appointments for first thing in the morning because their energy is untouchable. Everyone is knowledgeable and the practice goes beyond to give outstanding service. What I appreciated most was the fact that Dr. Murphy gave me options in the beginning of my treatment and allowed me to make the decision based on my personal needs. They are truly THE BEST!

Southern Maine Orthodontics in Scarborough Maine is hands down the best organization I have worked with to get my teeth to where I want them to be. Dr. Murphy is the most talented and generous orthodontist I have ever had the pleasure to work with. From the moment you walk through the door he is nothing but smiles and good vibes. He genuinely wants the best for your teeth and works with your life style in mind. I participate in consistent training with jujitsu, and mentioned concerns about my teeth. He made me a mouth guard with my teeth scans and got me in THE NEXT DAY. If you are struggling finding an orthodontist, go to Southern Maine orthodontics. You will simply not find better people or talent anywhere else.

UPDATE A FEW MONTHS AFTER INITIAL POST:

THEY HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!! I had chipped my tooth and and attempted to have my dentist (not in relation to Southern Maine Orthodontics) fix it years prior. It resulted with my smile being slanted (even though my teeth were pretty straight). I had always been upset about that encounter, but when I had mentioned it to Dr. Murphy he CREATED a solution. He reshaped my upper TEETH (not just the one that was effected by the chip) and I left his office with an amazing new smile. To be completely honest, my teeth have never looked this good in my entire life. The level of confidence this orthodontist and his team have brought into my life is priceless and I could not be more grateful. With all that being said, go to Southern Maine Orthodontics if you want a team that creates jaw dropping dental results and cares about all of their patients well being!

Dr. Murphy and his team are top-notch! From day one of my treatment the staff and Dr. Murphy were always friendly, welcoming and complimentary. I have extremely sensitive teeth and they were always understanding and mindful while treating me. You will not find a better group of people who have a great sense of humor and whose interactions with each other are just as wonderful as they are with their patients. Dr. Murphy is fully determined you will be happy with your smile.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this whole office! My daughter, son, and I have all been through the orthodontic process with Dr. Murphy (with 3 very different treatment plans) and we are beyond pleased not only with our results, but also with the compassionate, friendly, and welcoming treatment we have received from the receptionists to orthodontic assistants to Dr. Murphy. They handle my dental anxiety with compassion and zero judgment and we always share some laughs about whatever is going on that day. Dr. Murphy and his team go above and beyond, even when I've had questions after hours and needed something before they opened if it couldn't wait. I'm going to be happy to be done with treatment, but I'm going to miss everyone in the office!!

Dr. Murphy and the whole team were great throughout my experience. They truly went above and beyond to be accommodating during my treatment. I had a complicated orthodontic case and they were always understanding and helpful whenever I had questions or needed last minute care/adjustments. The entire team is wonderful and I would recommend to anyone!

Dr. Murphy and his entire staff are wonderful! I could not recommend this practice enough! My son loved going to his appointments because they create such a welcoming environment. Any time I called the office the front desk staff were amazing, especially Beth, such a pleasure to work with, she always answered my questions thoroughly. If you or your child need an orthodontist, Southern Maine Orthodontics is the best around. 10/10 recommend, would give them more stars if I could!

Dr. Murphy and his staff are incredible! Everyone is always so kind and easy to talk to! I’ve never had to sit in the chair and wait for treatment, Becky scanned my teeth so quickly and Dr. Murphy always comes right over to discuss my treatment and options! As someone who had braces previously and didn't understand the importance of retainers as a teenager, I sought out Invisalign in adulthood. Opted for an orthodontist instead of my dentist, as I wanted someone trained in moving teeth/bite correction.
Dr. Murphy and his team have been fantastic, so flexible, and very kind over the few years. Highly recommended!

Having Orthodontic work done again after being in braces for 3 years was not my favorite thing I wanted to do. I had to find a different Orthodontist that cared about the patient. The first experience was not what I expected and was worried about going into it again. But once I met Dr. Murphy all my fears were washed away. He did my 1st exam and understood what needed to be done. He listened to me at my 1st exam along with my concerns that I had. I have now been out of braces for approximately 7 months, my mouth feels and looks amazing. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Murphy and his team at Southern Maine Orthodontics. They make you feel so comfortable when you are there just like you are family! Thank you all for your hard work! You are all AMAZING!!!

With 2 sons who needed multiple phases of orthodontic work, my family has been going to Southern Maine Orthodontics for over 10 years, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The front desk staff is always smiling and welcoming, and very patient when needing to reschedule appointments multiple times.Dr. Murphy and his orthodontic team are very professional and also welcoming and friendly, and my sons enjoy talking with them while their in the chair. Dr. Murphy and his staff are amazing! At 59, I thought I was way too old to get braces but I was tired of the pain in my mouth from crooked, misaligned teeth that I wanted to do something. I met with the doctor and we discussed options and then made a plan. Today, 2 1/2 years later, I was officially discharged from treatment. My teeth look FANTASTIC and I feel wonderful. I can smile without being self-conscious or embarrassed. Dr. Murphy and his staff supported me throughout treatment and they were always friendly and kind. It was actually fun to see them during visits. This is a great place!

100% reccomend Southern Maine Orthodontics! Both of my boys required multi phased treatment. They loved going to their office. All of the staff are friendly, caring and willing to answer any questions we had. The different payment options was piece of mind for my family.
