Carolyn is the best real estate agent I’ve known. She understands her client’s goals and works extremely hard to make the sale happen. We successfully purchased a property in a very competitive market because Carolyn was exceptionally responsive and gave us strategic advice. She conducts business with a very high level of integrity and knowledge and does a great job of representing her clients. Knowing that we could trust her judgment and advice made ‘going for the deal’ exciting and fun. Carolyn has a wonderful rapport with people and is truly a pleasure to work with.

We retained Carolyn to help us find a Lake Michigan waterfront house near Leland, Michigan. She was very persistent in locating options for us to consider, including some she knew of through the local grapevine that were not even on the market yet. The one we purchased in Leelanau County had only been on the market one day when we saw it, and our early involvement likely had much to do with our success.

Carolyn has a very pleasant personality, so is a joy to work with. It also helps her working relationship with other realtors, which was to our advantage. She was incredibly prompt about following up on any questions or requests we had, both during the search process and the closing paperwork process. If she wasn't 100% sure on something, she didn't just guess as some brokers do, but dug up the correct answer in short order.

The spring and summer of 2020 I was looking for my perfect piece of heaven – vacant acreage in Leelanau County and came in contact with Carolyn Telgard. After working by myself and losing out on the first property I attempted to purchase, I felt I needed someone who knew the area and local people well since I lived 4 hours away. This is when Carolyn came on the scene and so grateful she did. Someone I didn’t know prior, but after a few conversations felt very comfortable and confident of since Carolyn had lived in the Leelanau area most of her life and knew the place and people well. Together we continued in my property search and in a short time found some beautiful acreage. But like with any property I had a few concerns. This is where Carolyn was my biggest asset connecting me with the right people to discuss my issues and sending various documents I wanted to review. Once I determined it was the property for me, Carolyn guided me in my offer and ongoing negotiations and everything worked out as exactly as I had hoped. Looking back I’m not sure I would have my property today without Carolyn. I felt like I had a home court advantage working with a professional realtor like Carolyn and would confidently recommend her to my family, friends or anyone that was looking for property in the Leelanau region.

Carolyn Telgard is truly the best realtor in Leelanau county. She has helped us through some of the toughest situations in the current, competitive market. She is well-equipped with knowledge that's up-to-date, has reliable connections in the community and she works really hard. She's readily available for questions and if she doesn't have the answer right away, she'll research till she finds one. Not only is she a great realtor, she is a wonderful human being.
