Independence Auto Repair

I've never had my car repaired here but will in the future should the need arise. I had a tire losing pressure fast so I drove into their lot before opening. A gentleman was inside, and he let me in. Then he fixed my tire, and I was on my way with no charge. Just based on this kind gesture and their amazing reviews, any new repairs that I need done will be done there.

Great place for an honest mechanic to work on your vehicle with very fair price

The crew at 32 Mile & Powell location have maintained all my vehicles for several years. Lew, the manager is always upfront with repair costs which I have found to be more realistic than other auto repair shops. The service crew, Mike, Ken, Brandon… just to mention a few, are some of the best mechanics I’ve seen. Will continue to support them as they keep my vehicles on the road. Honestly, this is one of the best places I have ever taken my car to. I have an older car that unfortunately needed several repairs, and they got these repairs done within the day, for a reasonable price. One repair was done in under fifteen minutes, so that I was not late for work. The only complaint that I have is that they are not open on the weekends, which is a testament to how good the service is.

We have been regular customers of Independence Auto since they first opened and can't say enough good things about their service. They are knowledgeable, fast and friendly. Very accommodating even when they are busy. As an example, I had to have an oil change done and since my husband wasn't able to pick me up they changed the oil while I waited. Their waiting area is nice and clean, have coffee and watch TV. Their prices have always been fair and they explain everything in detail when a repair is needed. No surprises! I highly recommend them for any auto repair or service.

I was looking for an honest opinion and got it. I never expect people to work for free. These guys aren't the cheapest but priced reasonably. I'm fine with that as long as my vehicle doesn't come out with more issues than it went in with. I have three vehicles that they have work on. From front end work on my Ford F-150 to just an oil change on my Camaro.

These guys are great! Fixed my leaky tire for me very quickly and at a great price. I will go to them for all of my auto needs from now on. Thank you for such a great service.

Loved this place. Lew was honest and to the point. He told us exactly what the issue was and had our truck fixed and on the road by noon. His prices and reasonable and even told us what could wait and what needed to be done now.....I recommend him to everyone. I will never go anywhere else!!!!!

I was having issues with my car that made it unsafe to drive. I drive alot for work so it was important to me to have my car back within a reasonable amount of time. I moved to the area a year ago so wasnt sure where to go/who to trust. I called multiple places in the area and no one could even look at my car until the following week. These guys told me to bring my car the same day, called me within a few hours informing me what was wrong/a price to fix it and they had it done the following day. The problems i was having were fixed and i didnt have to miss any work. I am super thankful and would trust them with my car again in the future!!
