Great food and generous portion for the price. Friendly and fast service. Ordered the guacamole, California burrito, Mexican steak taco, and chicken mole. My meal came with rice and beans. Everything was very fresh and tasty. We had plenty to take home (enough for 2 more meals). Would recommend for quick bit or a get together meal with friends.

My family and I went there tonight for the first time after we visited Westview Orchard. We live in Saint Clair Shores and looked for a place to eat on Google. We found this place and glad we did! We will be back for sure and will make it part of Our family tradition as an addition to our Westview Orchard trip!

As close to home as you can get for authentic Mexican food

I have ordered food from here MANY times and EVERY SINGLE TIME the food is absolutely AMAZING... Very good Mexican food. My suggestions... SOUTHWEST CHIMI BITES (appetizer, absolutely amazing!) Chicken quesidillas (absolutely amazing!) The tacos are GREAT, i always get a side of beans and rice too... Honestly EVERYTHING i have ever ordered from here has been GREAT, EVERY time. VERY consistent on the quality of the food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We went when they first opened and walked out due to dirty dishes piling up on the bar, plus poor service.

We tried a second time, thinking they just had a bad day. Food was good, but service was lacking.

Tonight, we were immediately greeted at the door, and we chose to sit at the bar. The friendly bartender greeted us with something we thought quite comical and knew it would be a much better experience! Omar, the bartender, was friendly throughout the evening and we had a good connection.

The food? OMG! We're talking HUGE servings on top of the free chips and delicious salsa. Two servings of that accompanied with cheap drinks, what more could you ask for? I ordered the bartender-recommended Texas Burrito, and wow, what a serving!!

After all these years, I can honestly say I'm glad we took a 3rd chance. ❤😎

Ok, so first of all the food is great. I am from Texas, and I've been looking for somewhere that had good Mexican food here. Finally I found one. Also, my VERY first time there I left my card, and the people were so sweet! I have had my money stollen before at a restaurant BY an employee. It is heartening to see that there are still good people. My card was returned to me safely. Service is great.

This is an amazing reasteraunt slightly hidden right in plain sight. The service was perfect! The family atmosphere was obvious with the entire staff and their interactions with our group and the others that I observed. The food was amazing and super fairly priced! We had shrimp tacos, steak/chicken/shrimp fatitas, huge burritos (seriously the largest I've ever seen) and of course some chicken tenders for the kids.. all perfect! Would recommend this place to friends and family or business lunches that will impress! We didn't order alcohol so I can not comment on the drinks, but there was a full bar and those that were partaking looked to be happy 👍

We went in an hour before they closed on a Saturday. First time ever. And we were waited on promptly, the food came quick and was AMAZING. .
we never felt rushed to finish or to pay. I would recommend Lafonda to anyone looking for really tasty Mexican food. The restaurant was clean, inviting and they had the sports games playing on the televisions.

Great Food! Their Cheese Crisp is so good! We love their hit sauce! We got their catering for Christmas, and it was awesome! We reheated it, and it was good to go! Thank you Lafondas!!!

Amazing food! Very friendly staff. The portions are great. If you want to get a meal and have leftovers for the next day I highly recommend the wet burrito. I have leftovers every time!

Five stars for the food, but six of us waited an hour for our drinks, and another fifteen minutes for excellent food. I will go back but when I’ve got more time to spare, shame really because one person can’t run the floor on her own.......
Well I’ve since been back a couple of times and will definitely be going back more often, the food was wonderful and the service was much better. .......

I would’ve never stopped here if I wasn’t next door at the MDV to get my license. Now, I drive 30 minutes to order enchiladas during a blizzard!

The little touch of perfect Pico, lard in the refried beans, authentic to the nth degree!

Had a really pleasant time here last Sunday. The food was very, very good and our server was super sweet and nice. I would definitely recommend coming here and giving it a try!

Carne asada tacos are amazing as well as the 20 oz Margarita’s. I would eat this everyday!

Always fantastic. Love the staff and food is always perfect. If I want Mexican food, I wont go anywhere else.

Omg this place is amazing, whoever would give this place one star is an effing idiot! My friend loves the beef enchilada, I always get the wet burrito, its GIANT and can fill the hungriest of guys. I only hope this place stays open! Prices are great and its very nice inside! Service is average to amazing depending on the night. We had a waiter almost run he was so good. There isnt many mexican options out here, lets keep this place open!
