University of Nebraska Kearney

I'm going into my second year at UNK and absolutely love it here! It is affordable, the environment is welcoming, friendly, and supportive, professors are wonderful and care about their students, and there are plenty of activities to do outside of class! Go lopers :)

Our family was stopping over in Kearney for one night on our way back home when we were caught in the flood in July 2019. We are so grateful to the University of Nebraska at Kearney. We were amazed at the efficiency at which their staff organized during a natural disaster and cared for hundreds of displaced people. They were incredibly generous and housed us for 5 days in the dorms, fed us, organized transportation all while keeping us informed about the ever-changing flood situation.  We felt that they truly cared about our well being. The wonderful people at the university helped us work through a scary and overwhelming experience. We thank you with all of our hearts.

The professors here care deeply about teaching to giving you the best education. Campus is huge relative to the number of students. Everyone is friendly. Great environment to learn.

It's a great university experience for MSW students, they offer evening and weekend classes. The teachers are friendly and helpful. Love taking classes out there.
