Cleary Lake Veterinary Hospital

I’ve been to this clinic quite a few times and people I know have been going there for a number of years. The place is always clean inside and the staff is always helpful and attentive. I’ve never had any problems getting my dog on the schedule for a checkup or any other issue. It seems there may be a small amount of miscommunication happening behind the scenes, in some cases, as far as the course of treatment prescribed. Which in our case ended up adding an extra visit or two that costed money. All in all I feel comfortable with this clinic compared to the few others I’ve been to.

I've been taking my dog, Hera, to them since I got her and she loves them. They took her today without an appointment and gave me peace of mind that she will be alright. They are the best.

We recently acquired a stray cat (Mint Oreo) that had a large lump on his hindquarters, most likely an abscess. The cat was in pain, had a fever, and was becoming lethargic. I called Clearly Lake hoping they had a same day appointment and would be willing to treat a cat they had never seen. It is currently difficult to get appointments at some clinics.
Thankfully they got us in! I walked in the door for the appointment and was immediately brought to an exam room. The vet came in and quickly assessed Oreo. She discussed his care plan with me and took him back to be treated. Not long after, Oreo was brought back looking much better already. The abscess was large and painful and had to be drained. Oreo was given antibiotics for the infection. He looked relieved to be out of pain. The vet and clinic staff took great care of our cat and answered all my questions. I got his meds and care instructions and was so relieved that Oreo was on the mend. Cleary Lake Vet Clinic Staff are professional, compassionate, and kind. We are grateful that Mint Oreo is back to being the sassy rascal that we have come to love.

We recently transferred care of our 11 year old pup to Cleary. His routine 6 month check up went off without a hitch. Dr. Keyes took the time to review all of his records. She explained possible treatments and explained the pros/cons for the treatments. Her recommendations were down to earth, and we appreciated partnering in care with her to establish the best treatment plan for our pup. Our vet tech Christine, was awesome, as usual! All of the Cleary staff are welcoming and helpful. The facilities are kept very clean.

I am a retired police canine handler. I worked two dogs and my second dog was cared for by Cleary Lake Vet Hospital. He recently passed away and they helped me make arrangements in a dignified and compassionate manner. I have always had a positive experience here. From routine well checks to advice in more urgent situations, they have always done a top notch job.
I now own a commercial boarding kennel and training service and I recommend Cleary Lake Vet to all my clients. They are outstanding! If you are looking for a knowledgable and professional veterinarian with a positive experience, look no further! Cleary Lake is the best!

Very wonderful clinic and staff! My first visit was 15 years ago for a neuter/vaccination on some new kittens and the most recent was the end of life service for one of those same kitties. They did everything they could to be courteous and supportive and I don't think I could have sent him off in a better way. I've always been able to count on these guys for emergency visits and to be realistic about how much $ some people are capable of spending to keep their babies going; I thought we were on our final visit several years ago but what the more convenient vet labeled cancer turned out to be a tummy problem that was cleared up with two weeks of meds after getting a second opinion here. As long as we're in the area, I think this is where the rest of my pets will go!

What a wonderful facility! I have had Dr. Heidi out 2 different times for farm visit to help with some problems with my pony. Her manner with the pony has always been so professional and my pony trusts her. She gave me all the choices for treatment. Both my ponies benefitted from her advice and I am blessed to know these vets are there to help me!!

I have been coming to Cleary Lake for years. Dr. Tate is one of the most amazing Dr.’s I have ever been to. He is kind and caring and always professional. When I had to put my cat Lizzie down he was so kind and made it so much easier to say goodbye. He is the best and also his staff are the best!

Ordered a Pre-purchase exam. The vet was thorough and knowledgeable.

We have been coming to Cleary for over 15 yrs from our horses to our dogs and now added cat. We have had from minor checkups to major issues with two of our pets. With our little Pug Molly, when we brought her in with a neck issue, the doctor did not hesitate to say she was not qualified and insured she sent us to the best care for the issue. They have always listened to our concerns and taken great care of each of our pets. I have been to other clinics over the years and yes Cleary is slightly more, but again you get what you pay for. The slight difference in price is far out weighed by knowing all these years our little fury family get the best care.

I've been to Cleary Lake Vet Hospital only once, but that one time was enough. They have spotless facilities, and wonderful staff. My cat had an ear infection, and the vet and tech were knowledgeable and compassionate they way they handled her, and explained everything to me that needed to be done for her care in a way I could easily grasp. I'll definitely be going back there when the need arises.

April 2022. Cleary Lake Vet is now the only clinic I go to. They're all so dedicated and compassionate, and take care of my cats as if they're the only patient there. During COVID, I had a cat diagnosed with cancer, and when it was time to say goodbye to him, Dr Tate was willing to do everything outside, where my Rascal loved to be so we could be with him up to the end. Alexia in the office is absolutely wonderful, as are the rest of the office staff, and the vet nurses are the BEST!

We have been bringing our dogs here for the last 10+ years and have always been greeted with a smile and very pleasant environment. The person I respect most is Dr. Tate. He has always been very upfront with us and explains things very well. He does not try and push procedures, etc. on us playing on emotions. If he feels it is needed, he lets us know and if he doesn't feel it is needed , even when we ask about it, he will tell us. Thank you Dr. Tate and staff for making it a great place to bring our dog.

Very happy. They were so patient with me and explained everything to me. Took the time to show me how to clean my pups ears and trim toenails. Gave me options on vaccinations that are mandatory and ones that are optional. Love that they did that. Highly recommend.
