PJ Ryans @ The Rock

This new bar's food, drinks, service, and atmosphere are amazing! The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent. If you are a fan of quality bar food I suggest making your next stop here. I've stopped here with coworkers several times now for lunch and each trip there seems to be more coworkers with me. They all can't get enough of PJ Ryans at the Rock either. Personally I am a big fan of the Cuban sandwich here. I never eat more than half and then have lunch for the next day.

The industrial design inside was well done with high ceilings, brick walls, black steel railings, dark bar tops, and other features. There is plenty of bar space between the two bars that run along the length of the space. If you prefer to sit down there are dozens of tables between the front and the back of the bar. There are plenty of flat screen tvs over the bars to watch any sporting events. The front and back are separated by an elegant water wall feature.

Anytime I am heading to an event at Prudential I will be stopping by this spot for some good times before and/or after the event!

PJRyan’s @ the rock is just that “it rocks”. This sports bar has the ambiance to draw fans of concerts at The Prudential for now, but when the NJ Devils and Seton Hall Basketball season starts watch how this place takes off. . This sports bar has two floors to accommodate many with room to spare...their food is better than most venues of this type and the prices are not conducive to the quality they serve. The ownership and staff welcome and greet you with a smile and will please your every need whether with a group or by yourself. So make a plan to stop @ PJ Ryan’s the next time you’re in Newark you won’t be disappointed!

Great atmosphere! Even when this place is packed (I was here right before a Kiss concert at the Pru) it's not as chaotic as the Edison Ale House next door. They have two bars, one on the upper level and one lower. I was at the upper bar. Service was friendly and prompt. Beer selection could be a bit better, but it's an Irish pub so you might as well drink a Guinness--of course they have it!

I work as a food runner here and absolutely love my job. The staff members are very friendly and everyone is cool under pressure when it's busy for an event and work just as hard when it's not. I love hearing from customers, "wow, that was fast!" when I bring them their food. They always seem so happy when they get it, their faces light up when they see their burger on an English muffin or their big bowl of loaded tater tots. Highly recommend the maple mustard wings, or ask for a side of the sauce to try with some fries! 😋

PJ Ryans @ the Rock is a great new restaurant/bar with a warm feeling. Lots of space. The food and drinks are excellent and pricing is very reasonable. This is an establishment that I highly recommend you check out. They have 4 dart boards, Golden Tee golf and a shuffle board. Lots of fun and good times!!!

The new PJ Ryan’s, formally Brick City Bar & Grill, is back and now better than ever!!! PJ Ryan’s is located right next to the Prudential Center, offering customers a dedicated parking lot right outside the bars front door for added convenience. The interior has a newly designed main bar and dinning room area, a new chef cooking up amazing dishes for a very reasonably price, plus has great service and an owner who “gets it”. We’ll certainly be hitting PJ Ryan’s up during any upcoming Devils games, or Live Nation Concert Acts scheduled to play The Rock soon! Some of the Biggest & Brightest Stars in the Music/Entertainment Industry today, are scheduled to play at The Rock this year so check your concert calendar!! I highly recommend stopping by PJ’s for some tasty libations and freshly prepared appetizers, entrees, and desert prior to attending your next event at the arena, located directly across the street!!! Five out of Five Stars—just tell them Blake sent ya!!

My husband and I stopped in for a drink but had so much fun we stayed for hours!! The staff was super friendly and the food was amazing! We won’t have to have tickets for a show at the Rock to encourage us to head back to PJRyans@the rock – we’ll be sure to go there often! Highly recommend!!!

Stopped in a few weeks ago on my way to the airport. Short walk from Newark Penn. I had the chicken club sandwich and it was excellent. Service was friendly and prompt. Right across from Prudential Center. It would a great place to stop in before or after a Devils game or any event at the Prudential Center. Highly recommend it!

I went to PJ Ryans with my friends before going to the Def Leppard concert at the Prudential Center on June 15th... man we had a blast the place was electric I mean it had great energy. The bar staff was awesomely cool and fun and really made a great start to our night. The place is new and super clean what a NICE Place!!! Hey every time we hit an event at the Prudential I know where I am going... PJ Ryans@the Rock... Rock on man!!!

The place is very nice for a group of people to hang out and talk or celebrate or even for the food. Prudential Center is right for the games if your going there to cheer or bettl. They even have meals for the kids too. As well as drinks and very delicious food, usually the chicken wings with lemon pepper is what gets my attention the most. They also have grubhub if you want to have it delivered to you.

Had a great Sheppard's pie. Worth the wait. It was hot and fresh. Thank you!

Now known as Taj 973. A great club space upstairs available to rent for private events and a great sports bar space downstairs.

Went here to just vibes with my co-workers and listen to great music. Had a great time and the DJ was on point!!!
