First and foremost the ambiance of this café is beautiful. I love natural light and that’s mostly what you get here. Great choice of music, this place is such a vibe. Definitely a go to cafe shop for me now. The customer service is patient, welcoming and kind. I normally get nervous when ordering because I don’t know what get. The kind person taking my order explained the coffee specialties. They were so wonderful and informative. I ordered a mocha latte and “the burger w/ everything fries”. The fries were fresh and delicious. The burger was great and not heavy. Overall my experience was great here. You should check it out!

Dear Mama is my favorite cafe to work in uptown! The staff are super friendly, there's so much sunlight, the music is always so good and great to work to, and the drinks are so yummy. 100/10, love it here!

They also have movie nights, music nights, and happy hours!

This place is more like a super coffee shop! Simply huge space, all glass, sleek and modern. I had a matcha latte and it was perfect. They have so much more to offer however - cold brew, espresso, amazing pastries. Plus one of the biggest money trees you will ever see. A definite go to spot in the area. Enjoy

Cool open floor plan. Generally easy to grab a seat. Love the dedicated “no computer”tables in the center of the shop. Breakfast sandwiches are large and filling. Baristas were excellent and our lattes were perfect.

Legit third wave coffee served up at Dear Mama. Huge space set up for students etc. the 8.4 Cortado was surprisingly good. The beans are quality but it’s the accompanying milk work that takes it to a new level.

Have to put in a review on here. I initially came here finding a spot to sit and get a nice drink to sip. The drinks were really good, I came back another one or two times when I was to choose a coffee space, and with just those few visits I still get really great service and might've had some recognition, it's a wonderful place to stop by. BUT I DID NOT EXPECT THEIR BURGER & everything FRIES to be so FANTASTIC, and I highly recommend it as food (real tasty without being heavy, better than actual burger places). They've got so much figured out at this location, a wide and natural environment (the lighting, tall ceiling, plants, occasional musicians), wifi, people which can make you look forward to an order and a menu which you could stick with.
(In case you're wondering, has good bathrooms available right nearby, same building, connected lobby area beside the unit)

With multiple coffee spots to choose from in the neighborhood, this has emerged as my all out favorite. I stop by daily for drinks while out walking my dog- their chai and St. Clair Lattes are my favorite drinks- but I also find time to stop in for lunch and a beer with a book. It's a gorgeous space with friendly staff and a lovely relaxing vibe to stay and enjoy your meal, snack, and drinks for a while any day.

Definitely a Neo-Harlem can be a little noisy with the music by the food is definitely delicious no complaints there. I overheard that their money maker is the chocolate chip cookie. I will be paying them another visit and ordering avocado toast which looked delectable. Positively mouth watering. The food is made-to-order so you're going to wait a little while for it but it's worth it.

Very cute cafe. Great staffs and service. I appreciate the most is to be able to charge my phone with the cable in store. I ordered Avotoast, a crispy bread topped with generous amount of smashed avocados, diced tomatoes and onions. Unforgettable delicious flavor. The drink I ordered was matcha tea with sprite. This is the first time I tried this combination. Very nice for a hot day. I love this place. Highly recommended

Great atmosphere, food, and drinks. Plenty of seating at all times of day but it gets busy. The music can get a little loud so if you have a hard time studying with loud music I would find somewhere else.

Barrio bacon egg and cheese: Perfect combination of flavors on a toasted croissant with a pouched egg and house made hot sauce. I recommend getting both sauces.

I loved the atmosphere here and the food and drinks were delicious, and reasonably priced for the portion size. The staff were so sweet and made our orders very quickly despite it being so busy. Definitely will come back again.

Absolutely loved the high-end coffee bar experience! The atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff's knowledge and helpfulness made the visit even more enjoyable. The El Barrio sandwich, avocado toast, Julius salad, BLT, and the out-of-this-world chocolate chip cookie were all highlights. And, of course, the coffee was exceptional. Visited on a Sunday evening to get some “adulting” done and was greeted by a humming atmosphere replete with great lighting, seating, and the aromas of some tasty food. Ordered a cold brew and enjoyed it with live music which may or may not be ideal if you’re hoping to get into flow. The temp inside was cooler than I expected but then I realized I was sitting on top of a vent but otherwise, felt cozy during my stay. The menu items all sounded great and I’ll return to try some and their wine offerings.

I was here a Tuesday at 7:45 and had the best customer service I’ve ever had at a cafe. The girl working explained the items so well and was so patient. I highly recommend!

This coffee shop is a true gem in the neighbourhood - amazing coffee and food, super friendly staff and a unique, vibrant atmosphere with lots of plants that radiate the care and love invested into both the place and the community. I drop by regularly for a bit of inspiration to move forward with my writing and other projects, and the place is also just perfect for conversations, or to relax while listening to live music in the evenings. Every time I visit New York, I have to come to this coffee shop (and used to visit the old location). The service is always amazing and the food is mouth watering. Every time I come home to California, I dream about their pastries, burritos, porridge, pies, and of course coffee. The owner has so much passion for coffee, great food and service. It’s a breath of fresh to come to a place like this where everyone is treated well and everyone takes so much pride in their food.

Dear Mama is a wonderful coffee shop that has been open for a couple of years now on the newly built campus of Columbia University. The moment you step inside, you are greeted by a spacious and inviting atmosphere, with plenty of greenery all around. During the summer, the outdoor seating area is an absolute delight, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the more crowded area of the city.

Whether you're meeting up with friends, working/studying, or simply looking for a serene spot to relax and read, Dear Mama is the perfect place. In the evenings, the coffee shop occasionally hosts live music performances, which can make for a truly special date experience.

I LOVED this coffeeshop. Dear Mama is a great place for breakfast or a break during the day. The stuff is super friendly and the soce is huge. My oat latte was delicious as well as the nutella pistacchio patry. I enjoyed the graffiti on my way to the restroom!!!

This place has the best latte in NYC. So good and the coffee isn’t bitter. Too bad I don’t live around here or it would be my go to spot. I also had the BLT and was so tasty. Nothing bad to say but the place does get cold because of so many doors.

I absolutely adore this place. The staff are INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, and the coffee is divine. I got a glass of wine today and it was the best I've had in the area. Can't recommend enough.
