What a great addition to STATEN ISLAND! This place is clean bright and modern decor. The host is very accommodating and friendly. The food is made fresh and full of flavor. The serving sizes are generous. Everything is reasonably priced as well. Definitely recommend this place if you are craving some good Indian food!

Ate here with my brother and we both love Indian food, but unfortunately finding a good indian place on the island is hard. This place was a pleasant surprise! Absolutely amazing! Food was delicious, everything we tried was so tasty, and service was great. My brother ordered a mango lassi that was one of the best we’ve tried. Owner was very friendly, we lost our coupon and he took it off for us anyways. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back!

Excellent food! Tasty and filling. Breads are great and all meals were cooked to perfection. First time I’ve tried Indian food, will definitely not be the last time. Also the service was very attentive, Top notch. Our waiter Austin was excellent and his recommendations were spot on.

A cute little restaurant with delicious Indian food and good prices. We ordered 2 vegetable samosas which were large and yummy. We also got the tandoori chicken and lamb curry. Both were delicious and good portion sizes. The staff was friendly and the food came quickly. Great place for a simple dinner or to order out.

It is indeed authentic Indian food. Just order their Thali and you wont regret!! Wonderful food and great taste. Made by really authentic Indian chefs!! Also service was awesome. They gave us conplimentary sweets for the road!! Talk about being so considerate for customers!! This is a eatery u must try out for a humble ambience and great tasting authentic food..

I've been here twice so far and it's a great little tucked away spot for some delicious Indian food. The place is spotless, always clean and the service is excellent. I like the fact that their menu is accommodating to different dietary restrictions. I love that there is a vegan and vegetarian section on the menu! There's something here for everyone!

Jai Hind; I live within walking distance from this restaurant & I must say the food was absolutely exceptional. I ordered for pick up and I had the Butter Chicken and a Potato stuffed Paratha, and everything was amazing. I have been fascinated with Indian cuisine and I am so glad that there is a spot on the island that can transport me to India with every bite. I highly recommend it.

A little heavy handed with the spices, but one of the better Indian restaurants I've found outside of India

Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had. We'd normally go to the Bronx for some, but not anymore! We got the vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala and naan-- all of which were freshly made and tasted amazing! We also were given all given small bowls of (mango?) rice pudding at the end of our meal, which I'm not sure if it comes with the meal or it was due to the very sweet, friendly manager who kept checking in and chatting with us. Either way, I really love this place and plan on coming back a lot!

I came here to pick up food for a birthday dinner. The owner and his wife were extremely nice and helpful. They suggested a few great dishes for us, and everything was beyond what we were expecting. They gave us a discount on the food and a free dessert since this was for a birthday dinner. I will definitely be coming back here !

Amazing place! Normally I drive all the way to the Bronx to get Indian food because that's my favorite place, but this 100% exceeded that place. Owner was very friendly and kind. I will definitely be coming back here to eat very often.

What a lovely experience, went there last night with 2 other friends and had great meal, kurkuri bhindi was great. Chicken momos steamed were excellent. We ordered chicken Achari, chicken chettinad and lamb saag and bread basket, food came with nice and warm basmati rice. They ask all the time if we need anything. Service was great. Over all great experience. I would highly recommend to this place for real Indian food on the island.

Excellent spot in Staten island for the most delicious Indian dishes. And the staff are very humble and pleasing. A very neatly maintained restaurant. I recommend everyone one to taste the food here. I promise that everyone will love.

Austin is the best, the customer service is second to none. He has great recommendations and is able to explain the chemistry of every ingredients. He is a pleasure to speak with. I was getting tired of the curry and he was able to recommend tandoori lamb done in a clay oven. I literally just finished earing that. The menu is reasonably priced. I buy every week. So much variety to chose from. I just finished eating ti Kobab lamb with naan and rice. Oh my God it was devine. Authentic Indian Cuisine. No shortcuts. Soul food for the mood you are in. They offer a diversed menu and adequate portion at reasonable prices. Food is always fresh. Highly recommend. Food is a transportation to places and cultures you may never physically mert. Thali Bar Bar Indian cuisine cant be beat. Thank you Austin.

So excessively delicious. I've eaten Indian food a lot over 20 years and I always get tikka masala. Delicious. The naan is so buttery.... The bad reviews must be fake from competitors, all their waitors and staff are sweet and attentive... HIGHLY recommended.

I have not come across an owner of a business like this, in a very very long time. The most I can do to praise the restaurant is to write this review and commend him for being so MINDFUL, PROACTIVE, EVOLVED, INQUISITIVE and WILLING.
I once had vegetarian momo's that were cold. Long story short, I ate them because I was so hungry and was home before realizing they weren't hot. I thought it was best to call the restaurant to let them know that they were cold, just so they were made aware and so future customers wouldn't experience the same. He felt badly and apologized top to bottom. I made it clear to him that I went ahead and ate them and that I truly just wanted to let him know because after all; how can things be improved upon unless people are made aware of an issue/s.
He took the initiative to call me back after we hung up, to tell me he would like to make it up to me and offer me the plate for free the next time I was in. He went ABOVE and BEYOND.
He conducted himself in a manner which solidified me as a forever customer. I wish I came across more business owners like this, the world over.

The momo's are very good, papadum delicious, great mint chutney and very good palak. The tamarind chutney is less sweet and has more of a tang note to it, if you have only had the more sweet types. The samosas are somewhat spicy if thats of any value to anyone reading the review. Very good vegetarian rice dishes as well.

Out of two or three good Indian options we have in Staten Island, this restaurant has made its mark.Good Food and Excellent Service. Dine in or take out better than getting the delivery which can take a little extra time depending on where you live on the island.

This quaint Staten Island Indian spot offers authentic, delicious food at modest prices served by a very accommodating and friendly staff. I highly recommend ordering the Taj Mahal beer, (the 1 pint 6 ounce bottle will serve 2 modest beer drinkers). We will be going back again soon.

Me and my family have gone to Thali Bar Baar on several occasions and the food is always prepared perfectly! If you want a personal recommendation, try the Curry Goat with poori - (Balloon bread!) Poori is great to tear apart and dip in the sauce. The lassi drinks are thick and are the best on Staten Island. If you like spinach, then try the Chicken Saag. I also tried the Chicken Chettinad and fell in love all over again! Before you leave, no meal is complete without ordering the Masala tea and Gulab Jamuns. Wait at least a minute before eating them as they have just been taken from scalding rose water syrup!

This restaurant has great food! Made to order and fresh. Austin is a wonderful waiter and made us feel at home in the restaurant. He gave us great food recommendations and the food was delicious! Can't wait to come back!
