Walgreens Pharmacy

I know lines can sometimes be long, but I have to say, I've always had an amazing experience at Walgreens, especially their pharmacy. I take a number of medications and sometimes have medical issues in the middle of the night. Whether it is a call during normal hours or in the middle of the night, I have always spoken with pharmacy techs or pharmacists that are patient, kind, and try their best to help, often going beyond my expectations. For instance, the other week I had a splitting tension headache and had run out of medicine to curb the intense pain. I called the pharmacy at 2 am (as soon as "lunch break" was over) and was in tears asking if they could refill my prescription earlier than my original 10 am pick up time. The pharmacist began filling it as soon as I asked for what I needed and it was ready in 10 minutes, the time it took for me to get there. I had a number of questions that I asked through the drive through speaker and he patiently and kindly answered each one trying to help me. Today I had to have an emergency refill of a medication and had a pharmacist kindly walk me through what I would need to do with my insurance company and cull through her database to find a location that could help me ASAP. This team has been wonderful.

And for the in-store staff, I think the man's name is David. I was looking for the Christmas sale mini bows. I couldn't find them and just picked up a bunch of other items. As soon as his line was done, he immediately came to help me, without any ask on my part, and handed me a box of mini-bows that was out of my line of sight. I never would have found them. I explained what types of items I was looking for and he took the time to make recommendations for the odds and ends still left. When I checked out, he made sure that I got every discount possible. (There was no line to hold up, I promise!) His customer service was amazing. During this pandemic, sometimes the kindness of strangers is just the most wonderful thing in the world to remind us of the beauty of our lives.

Why do urgent medical issues only happen late Sunday afternoon? The pharmacy was open at 7:00 PM Sunday when I needed it.

Friendly and quick pharmacy

Interesting store orientation where you drive in one way and park hither or thither. If you're lucky you might find a space up front with "0" minutes time limit(!) Enter through the far corner where both doors often open in tandem as you vacillate between one or both. (Choose wisely lest you let all the cold air in.) Before long, yellow tags draw you in to sales, orange tags to clearance and closeouts. A discount shelf in the back is stocked regularly but haphazardly—so haphazardly (see pic) you'll have trouble matching items with prices. A bathroom is available in the back: not the cleanest but if you gotta go you gotta go. Pharmacy is ok, sometimes with longish lines and peevish people waiting. Picked up an Rx once or twice, but was happy that the clerk helped me get a better price by using GoodRx. Sometimes you get free photos through a promo code, so if that doesn't bring you in then maybe something else will, like the occasionally cheery staff who'll be happy to process a requested refund or advise you on how to use cash rewards before they expire. Oh and there was the free ice (see pic) that they gave away once while their freezer was being repaired. A nice gesture that could be well extended to other essentials, but maybe not in this lifetime.

I don’t not what to say, but 3 prescriptions sent by 3 different doctors offices have been lost recently for my family. The poor staff has no idea what is going on and where these scripts are going. I think I heard the window pharmacy staff say that their systems have been upgraded recently.

I'm always getting "partial fills" on orders that I order every month, including those for my children. Their supply chain needs a serious upgrade, and perhaps some of their employees could use a lesson in honesty and professionalism. Most of the employees there are fantastic, given the circumstances they're put in. How their pharmacy is running is beyond me! I asked the Pharmacy Tech to see if the other stores had the remainder of this prescription (this is Christmas Eve today when this happened), but I'd been asking for TWO WEEKS!! He wouldn't check, I will have to spend the next few hours of my life seeing if a nearby Walgreens has any... He wouldn't because although he "understood my frustration because I need this medication, he didn't like my tone" so I could do it. I had to ask him at least three times WHEN to "expect it" (not likely I imagine), he said THE EARLIEST WILL BE AFTER CHRISTMAS... The 26th, but he couldn't be sure. The only reason they're getting a two star is most of the pharmacist workers are very nice, this guy was being a Grinch!

I have used this pharmacy maybe 6 times over 4-5 years and have not experienced good service. There are long waits and the staff are unfriendly and communicate poorly. Most recently I requested a refill through the website and went in 2 days later to pick up. Nobody had bothered to do anything with the prescription so I was told to come back. Came back a week later and still nothing had been done. Walgreens pharmacy, you are dead to me.

Have been here several more times and I need to update my review.. it's been good EXCEPT FOR THE WAIT.. the staff are great, but it's hard to rate this well with how long the waits are. They are ridiculous. Go to safeway a short way away. It's much faster there.

Wow the wait. Dropping off and picking up prescriptions takes 45 minutes to an hour or more. When you aren’t feeling well, it feels like even longer.

Chronically understaffed. Long wait no matter the time of day or night. If calling in, expect to wait on hold 5-10 mins minimum.

4/22/24 5:10am one guy in pharmacy sleeping in the back wouldn't come to the window when I knocked or when I tried calling to see if maybe they were in the back and just couldn't hear me. Multiple people there before me gave up and left. I found a store employee and she had to make an overhead call for him to wake up. He asked for my name to get my prescription and then scanned it and told me to put my phone number in. I had to tell him that's not my number and I said my name is Ryan not the clearly feminine name on the bag that sounds nothing like Ryan

This locations pharmacy is a hot mess I wish I would have read these reviews before picking up my prescription!!! Please go anywhere else I ended up having to change my prescription to a Bellevue location anyways. The workers at this location are very incompetent and rude.

Everytime I've dealt with the Issaquah location they lie about your prescription Being sent out. Their pharmacy Employees are Lazy as Heck they'll throw each other under the the bus when 1 messes up.

What is going on with the pharmacy? Ive now twice had the same prescription be out of stock. Ive had to call other pharmacies myself to find the medication. Ive now been waiting 4 days for a rx to be transferred.
