Tierra Del Sol Mexican Restaurant

I don’t know where to start, I personally felt like this is the hidden gem of Mexican food in Union NJ. The employees were friendly and welcoming. We felt at home. Our skepticism about the menu proved us wrong as I took the first bite of the crispy beef tacos. Every meal was filled with different flavors and was beyond perfect. I highly recommend this place.

We were looking for some authentic Mexican food and came across this special hidden gem here in Springfield. There were things on the menu that I had never eaten and decided to order like Huaraches, Sopes, and beef tongue tacos. Wow! Everything was super delicious, inexpensive, fresh, and flavorful. If you're looking for some really delicious authentic Mexican food, you have to come here! We've already ordered here twice and plan to order many more times.

The best Mexican restaurant in the area! Love coming here the staff is so friendly and accommodating! Everything is very fresh and delicious! I really enjoyed the fajitas and chicken tacos. Highly recommend!

7/16/20 - The food here is so good and the people are very friendly. Very authentic, great variety, and hefty portions at a great price. We especially love the tamales, which are served on Tuesday, Thursday, and weekends, but you gotta get 'em early, like lunchtime early, or you might miss out. Can't even tell ya how many times we've ordered since we discovered Tierra Del Sol. Excellent!

Was around the area and googled restaurants near by for lunch. As I'm scrolling I see a picture of a mexican dish and it looked really good. I said to myself man, I haven't had Mexican in sooooo long. Told wife we heading to the spot and I must say. It was a nice cozy place and the music was pleasant. Waitress/cashier was super friendly. Place is clean and parking seemed to be good or I just got lucky out front on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered the bean and cheese burrito and the appetizer were nachos with guacamole. I have no clue what the Mrs. had, but it looked good. All in all I would definitely go back if I'm around that area. I live in Brooklyn so it's not very often I'll be eating there. I do hope to though. Took some photos, but not very good shots I'm afraid.

Sooo good...!!! You might just drive or walk by and not give it a chance...but go here!!! Make the right decision...affordable...authentic...FRESH...and the attention to detail...delicious...insider tips: ask for the green and the red hot sauces...absolutely amazing...get the tacos especially the chorizo...and don't be afraid of the tongue!!! It's delicious and needs no acquiring!

Authentic Mexican food!! I’m always on the hunt for good Mexican food and today I found it. Loved the carne asada tacos & chicken tamal. Ensalada de nopales also very good. Family loved the chorizo quesadillas and guacamole.

Meticulously clean establishment and the chorizo and cheese quesadilla was divine. They don't skimp on the meat like some places do. Complimentary chips and salsa as well as 2 salsas served with that. Quesadilla served with homemade guacamole...who doesn't love that? My favorite Mexican soda jarritos and my favorite flavor fruit punch.

We absolutely enjoyed our meals, particularly the garlic shrimp and tacos. My tacos reminded me of the street food on my backpacking trip up and down Baja California. Big portions so the wife had to pack her pork steak (which was a bit overcooked and dry but acceptable). Very friendly staff!

I have been desperately trying to find a good a Mexican restaurant in Union and I finally found it. Great service, the owners are lovely. The food amazing, the chef made my Bistec Mexican extra spicy did not disappoint.

Very delicious Mexican food!

We got the huarache with carne asada, an onion steak platter (bistec encebollado) and a chicken quesadilla. All were freshly prepared, made to order and came out fairly quickly. The wait staff was very nice (she worked the register, tables and even helped in the kitchen!).

Had a great experience here. I tried the steak nachos, chicken huarache, steak huarache, bistec encebollado, and the horchata and everything was AMAZING! I’ve been trying to find authentic horchata and it did not disappoint. Great customer service as well. Definitely recommend!!

One of the most authentic Mexican places around. Everything was delicious and the staff was very friendly. It is now my go to place for the Mexican food.

Tacos and sopes were very, very good. Picked food up to take out and front of house staff was very kind and everything was packed very well. Will definitely go back.

The food here is always amazing. Try the lengua tacos. They melt in your mouth. So good! And there is parking behind the building off Morris Tpk.

Best taqueria ever. Chips, salsa, guac, tacos, all delicious and made with fresh ingredients. I really love the red sauce… they won’t give me the recipe! Cute little hole-in-the-wall place with friendly service and reasonable prices. A+++++!

The Tlayuda with Al pastor was incredible.

I picked up some tamales quesidilla and chorizo tacos. The tamale is the best i have tried in NJ. Authentic as it gets. They are yumm.. when tamale is done right, you know you are at a good mexican place.
