Bookery Fantasy Collectibles

I used to come to this store when in high-school but recently started going here again 18 years later. They are always really friendly and welcoming. I play warhammer 40k and they have a great assortment of what I'm looking for that is routinely updated.

The Bookery has lots of hard to find comics, pulps, and movie memorabilia but as a book collector I appreciate their modest but brilliant curated vintage paperback section. The books are all in great shape and for the most part, all $5.

Always one of the best places for back issues. I never fail to find something good to add to my collection, and the prices are reasonable of the condition, usually at or below the Overstreet book value. I do miss the old vibe and the new releases, but they still continue to be my number 1 stop when I'm in the area.

Great spot for gaming needs. Excellent stock of products. They have TONS of gaming tables and space with ongoing games you might be able to join. Nice little snack area to buy goodies.

One of the most impressive comic shops I've ever been to. Amazing selection across the spectrum from new releases to mind blowing vintage and collectible books to a huge bargain basement with $1 books.

I have shopped at Bookery for many years and will continue to do so into the future. They have two stores on opposite sides of the street, one for comics/collectibles and the other for games, so make sure you don't miss either one. We went to the comic store first and was able to pick up some cheap, dollar comics for the kids to read, but they have most current comics as well. They also have some great collectible items, including some extremely rare collectibles/comics.

The game store has all the hot games right now in the tabletop industry as well at the Collectible Card Games and Role Playing Games industry, miniatures, etc. There is always something I can find worthwhile at Bookery. The staff is pretty knowledgeable, and I feel free to look around the place without pressure.

I don't have the words to express how cool this place is. My husband and I stopped by while on vacation because it sounded really cool. They have an impressively stocked store with just about everything you could think to ask for. Warhammer, Magic, tons of board games, tons of comics, a gaming room. The staff is incredibly friendly. Other customers were very friendly. Great prices. This store makes us wish we lived in Dayton.

Definitely a great place to stop in a cool little shopping area. I wish I could give it more than five stars.

They may not have the largest selection, but they are more than happy to order anything you ask them to. Extremely accommodating and kind.

Shout out to Eric in the table top gaming section. He's awesome and answered any and all of my questions. Even if he didn't know, he would take the time to research it for me.

Can't say enough good things about this place.

Epic Loot is great too; but I'd drive out of my way first to this place because they're so welcoming. And their pricing, personally, I think is better.

EDIT: I stopped in again after living in Oregon for 2 years and I wanted to say that I’m still impressed with their selection of comic book back issues for only $1.00!!! I’ve been to a ton of comic shops in my life and this is one of the best. The organization alone makes it worth spending time here. I put a huge dent in my Ultimate Spider-Man collection. Still highly recommend in my opinion.

This is one of the best game shops in the area. They have a very good board game selection, including lots of new stuff all the time, and they have discounted prices so you're not paying full list price. Plus the folks there are super nice and deserve the support of the local game community. It's a really good shop.

Love this store! My husband shops every week and we occasionally bring our small children with us. My three year old loves checking out all the different comic books. They do an amazing job also for Free Comic Book Day. A definite place to stop!

Great selection of gaming materials..love their bagged loose miniatures. Quick way to build up your 40k or Killteam armies.

This was my second visit to Bookery Fantasy, and it was just as good as the first. Went to their main store first, where they keep all of the higher-priced back issues, and found some nice books for good prices, as well as had a good conversation with the guy working behind the counter. After that, I moved across the street to their other location, where they have their gaming supplies, newer comics, and a large selection of $1 books (most of it sorted!!) in the basement. It's a little off the beaten path, but if you are around the Dayton area, it's worth the drive.

One of the best Game stores I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. not only do they currently have an ongoing 20% off any gaming product but their game area is community built. everyone chips in to make it feel more like a home for gamers when they choose to play their tabletop games. The staff is amazing and extraordinarily polite. I have traveled the country and visited over a hundred game stores and have rarely written a review but this one needs to be noted as one of the best. they are definitely specialized in what games they deal in the most but it is by far in its own league of helpful and inviting game stores. I have just started playing warhammer 40k and have gotten more help and advice from here than almost any other store. even if not from the staff the customers are family friendly too, always wanting to help. afterall they do help build the place. if I even had a complaint it would be to have longer hours just so I can enjoy my time here longer! Thank you for all you do!

One of my favorite stores, anywhere. I go just about every week. The employees are some of the best people anywhere. They truly care about their customers, both new and old. The selection is the best you will find. If they don't have it they will get it for you and notify you when it comes in. Just a great shop that I will continue to patron for many years.

Having grown up in this store, I have seen it grow from the humble beginnings to the powerhouse it is today. In all my travels, the Bookery continues to be my gold standard in which I judge a store on.

The layout may change every few years or so, but the atmosphere stays the same. You have employees that know their business and are personable. It really is home for me.

Whatever your vice is, they either have it or can get it. Vintage pulps, tabletop gaming, modern and earlier comics, various collectibles. There is something for everyone here spread across their various sections. By far, the best shop in the region. I make it a point to come in when in town for my irregular pilgrimage.

The gang at Bookery has really turned the store around. Great customer service and the product selection is improving. They have a wide variety of board and mini games, as well as collectible card games.

Been coming here since I was real young. Awesome staff. 😁 I wanted to add in that this place is great and when I say I have been coming since I was real young, I am talking back when both stores were located on the other side of the street where I purchased Battle of Macragge as a child! That is 4th edition Warhammer 40k! I still use the terrain from it btw. : )
