Balanced Family Academy of Upper Arlington

Our son is thriving! He is making friends while he learns and is excited to go to “school.” We love all the diverse nutritious meals he has been offered. We also love the extra classes that our son has been able to participate in including nature time, music class, and jump bunch. We love the additional classes offered through school on the weekends to keep our son engaged and social. BFAs focus on family and their willingness to host events to facilitate and foster relationships among parents and students outside of “school” is also great!

We feel very lucky to be part of the BFA community. The teachers are very caring and provide an environment that is fun for learning and developing but also safe. I love walking in the door and having teachers in the older classrooms say hi to my littles even though they haven’t taught them yet. The communication from teachers and management has been wonderful and we are excited to continue to see our kiddos grow.

We started our daughter at BFA at 7 months after 4 months of care at other facilities that simply did not meet our standards. Since then our daughter is thriving in every aspect. She has such caring teachers that regularly let us know how much they love her. Our family is bilingual and her teachers ask us for words she says so they can learn along with her and reinforce our bilingual teachings. She’s only 2.5 and they go so above and beyond our expectations. Being working parents is tough, but knowing your baby is loved this way is simply amazing. We plan to stay here until we no longer can and I am sure that day will be a sad one.

We’ve been attending Balanced Family Academy since our son was born in 2018 and now my daughter attends there as well. They have been nothing short of amazing and wonderful with my kids. The Greenhouse is so nice and all of the teachers are amazing. The Beaver room teachers are one of a kind and my daughter loves going to school to see them and her friends every morning. The management staff is always there to greet you with a smile. Special shout out to Miss Amanda, she has become a part of our family and my kids love her. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place and would recommend to any family looking for childcare.

We moved our son to Balanced Family after we felt the education he was receiving at his prior school was not matching his needs for his age. The admin at Balanced Family answered all of our questions and made us feel at home from day one. The teachers are very attentive to your child’s needs and will attempt to accommodate a request within reason; ie, if your child uses the potty they get an M&M (parent supplied of course). There are weekly nature, music and physical activity classes. Outside of the regular curriculum the additional offerings for the classes above allowing you and your child to interact with the instructor and your child.

The only regret we have is not starting with Balanced Family from the beginning.

They create an environment that feels like an extension of family, which is exactly what we were looking for.

The facility itself is immaculate and well-equipped with everything a child could need for a fun and educational day. It's clear that safety and cleanliness are top priorities here, which as parents, gives us great peace of mind.

We appreciate the daily updates and pictures we receive of our twins and greatly appreciate the feedback that we receive on their development and social skills.

Overall, we couldn't be happier with our choice of daycare. BFA has been nothing but amazing and we recommend it to any parent seeking a safe and enriching environment for their child. Thank you to the entire team for the incredible work you do!

Our daughter has had a wonderful experience throughout her time at balanced family on Reed rd. Very hands on and high level of communication during class room transitions and potty training. Management has also stayed on point throughout the process. Special shout out to Joe who is always there to welcome kids and parents in the morning. Really shows that management down to classroom assistants care about the well being, growth, and comfort of all the kids.

Both of my daughters (3 & 4) have gone here since they were infants. Our experience has only been positive. We love the teachers and staff, the kids have learned, grown and had experiences we never could have replicated in a home care setting. They provide diapers/meals etc. which is a major advantage over others that we considered. Location is convenient. I would definitely recommend anyone send their children here.

We have been with the Treehouse at Balanced Family Academy UA since the birth of our firstborn son three years ago. I don’t think anything could really prepare us for the anxiety, fear, and sadness that came from having to drop off our child at daycare but our experience has been nothing short of amazing. We were welcomed and quickly became comfortable with Treehouse. We are impressed by the education through the daily curriculum as well as the fun visitors. However, what we appreciate even more are the relationships and the love that has been shown to our son and our family along the way. The care and transparency from all of his teachers has been so great. However, one person at Treehouse stands out and is the reason we will never consider any other daycare. Building administrator Miss Megan has gone above and beyond in not only her every day duties but given the additional attention and care she’s shown our son, she’s become part of our chosen family. We are forever grateful that BFA UA brought her into our lives!

We love BFA Treehouse! The administrators are warm, friendly, and very communicative. You can tell they really care about all of the kids that come through the door! They always put a smile on my daughter’s face! We have been at BFA treehouse for 3 months now, and my daughter adores all of her teachers in the infant tiger room! Her teachers are loving and sweet. They work so hard to create fun learning experiences every day. Plus they take the best pictures! Its such a joy to see my daughter so excited everyday!

Balanced Family Academy is absolutely wonderful and have exceeded all expectations my daughter/son-n-law need in a daycare for both of their children. When I have had the opportunity to visit BFA - I am always greeted by a smile from the staff and teachers. I would highly recommend BFA to anyone looking for childcare for their children, because this grandma is very pleased!

We joined BFA UA couple months ago and have had a wonderful experience with the staff, teachers and other families. It’s such a warm and friendly place, and teachers do a great job sending updates and pictures throughout the day, and giving each child personal attention. Our daughter loves going to school and the fact that they provide food, snacks, diapers and wipes, makes life so much easier!! Highly recommend BFA!

We have been at BFA for over 5 years and have been so happy with the care we have received! My children have been able to do fun activities (yoga, nature, cooking club and music- to name a few), mixed in with educational activities and centers to ensure they are ready for Kindergarten and beyond! I love the app that allows communication with teachers and the ability to get pictures and updates throughout the day!

My daughter Maria and all our family absolutely love BFA Clubhouse and her Monkey classroom. When I was searching for a preschool and saw only 5 stars reviews for BFA I thought that was too good to be true:). Now, having our own experience, I could confirm BFA deserves only the highest stars. All my daughter’s teachers, the administration are just amazing, very attentive, love what they are doing, they are excited, inspired, full of ideas, follow very healthy approach, organise so many fun and interesting events, love kids and provide amazing care and education. Highly recommend!

The teachers at BFA go above and beyond to provide a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment. The kids learn and grow so much through the support of their dedicated teachers. BFA has created a wonderful community where all families feel welcome. BFA is amazing!!!

We’ve been going to BFA since 2021 and have had a great experience! Miranda, Madalyn, and Marah in the Clubhouse building are all wonderful - they get to know you and your kids. It’s nice seeing that some of the teachers my oldest had are still in the CH building and now our daughter has those same teachers. We love how they follow a curriculum and do an amazing job engaging the kids in creative activities/playtime throughout the day. The buildings are nicely done; they constantly seem to be getting new toys, furniture, etc to make sure the rooms/teachers have what they need to be an equipped space for learning (Clubhouse just underwent a remodel).

We had a wonderful experience at BFA. The staff and teachers were amazing. It was great to have good food served to our kids and not have to worry about what they were eating daily. Even though my kids have moved on to elementary school, we have long lasting friendships with both the people at BFA and the families we met while we were there. I truly feel our kids were more prepared going into elementary school than most others. I highly recommend!

I cannot say enough positive things about Balanced Family Academy. My older son started here 6 years ago ( who is now in 3rd grade) and my younger son started 3 years ago and is in BFA’s kindergarten program. Many of the same teachers are still here from 6 years ago which says a lot about the environment and how the staff is cared for. The teachers genuinely care about each child and make learning fun. Ms. Lauren is absolutely amazing and is the most genuine and caring teacher. I know my son will have an excellent start in elementary school. BFA is a great school and I am so happy I chose BFA for my boys.

I work with The Balanced Child Method, a traveling yoga business and have been working at BFA weekly since September. I’ve been in education (Pre-K - HS) for years and it is a joy to be a part of BFA’s team and mission. The children are well taken care of, the classrooms and hallways are bright, creative and fun and learning takes place every day. The teachers are well trained and they invite yoga to be a part of every week! The staff is professional, friendly and passionate about creating an active learning environment and providing for the needs of the children and families. I look forward to
my classes each week and I am thankful for the privilege to be a part of a great school!
