If you are looking for the best Mexican food in Utah- don't look any further! The food is hands down the best! Fresh, unique, flavorful, SO delicious, and a perfect instagramable presentation every time! There is something for everyone and every portion is so big-it's perfect for sharing! Truly, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu- we love it all!

Make sure you save room for dessert- they are all SO good! They just added the Tres Leches do the menu last week and well let's just say I barely got a picture in time before it was all gone- so yummy!

We take multiple trips to Utah and have family that live in Farmington. We can say without a doubt, this place will be added to our traditions with our 801 family. While people might knit pick at the price, believe me, I thought I should've paid more for the flavors and experience we had.

As someone who grew up with comida casera, this place has elevated the tastes I'm so familiar with. Hats off to Chef Marco and his staff for making our night one to remember as we could taste the care and pride in the execution of each dish. The birria and snapper tacos were supreme. The desserts were decadent and left you wanting to order a dozen of them. The chips and salsa were amazing if you can believe that. You can't go wrong here.

It's Official. I've made Nino Viejo in Farmington my remote office. I absolutely love the atmosphere, food and drinks. Devon at the bar outdid himself today... perfect recommendations, prompt and friendly service.. each drink was exactly how I hoped it'd be. He even handled some special requests as I like my margaritas SPICY - muddled, not just shaken. Oh man that Avocado marg has my heart... and a coconut mojito on a hot summer day? Sign me up. As for the food, I again ordered the Ahi Tuna ceviche today which was on point! I cook ALOT at home... I feel my ceviche is authentic and delicious but I have never tried Ahi Tuna ceviche... I will now.

So great salsa, amazing ceviche, friendly and prompt service, Craft cocktails and a shot of casamigos respado had me happy to be working.

My only suggestion to the chef, is to humor the idea of either a Taro or yuca root option for the chips with the ceviche. Texture, taste, presentation... it would be a great way to stand out from the crowd while sticking to the "roots" of this traditional cuisine. Just sayin

Try them out!

*some pictures are from my last visit as this time I was so hungry I had to eat first*

The food has unique flavors. They take the run of the mill Mexican dishes and blast them with flavor. The atmosphere is awesome and the service was great. Get Brenda as your waitress she was fantastic! Many of the other reviews complain about the price vs portions. I get that but for me it was worth the quality of food I was getting. The shrimp enchiladas and beef tacos are a must.

My wife chose Nino Viejo, a new Latinx-owned restaurant, for our first date night in 2021. We ordered various small plates to share and discover our favorites.

Our favorite dish was the tacos al pastor with grilled pineapple (5 stars). The hand-made corn tortilla comfortably fit in my hand without losing the scrumptious spit-grilled pork and juicy pineapple.

We also enjoyed the Asada tacos (4.5 stars). The steak was grilled perfectly, and the queso fresco was light and fresh.

My wife liked the ahi tuna ceviche (4.5 stars). It was a guiltless dish because it was fresh, light, and easy on the macro count.

I liked the chorizo tostada (4 stars). The chorizo is mild and topped with fresh, crunchy cabbage and accented with spicy chili oil and.

Overall it’s high-quality food made with high-quality ingredients but simple. I would recommend Nino Viejo to any couple or family.

Great food tonight! Awesome flavors with the salmon tacos Diablo style and the guacamole apple jicama tacos Diablo style. Loved the ambiance and the service was top notch. Thanks Robbie(I think that was it :) The chips and salsa were great and I always love the churro donut balls. Having Diet DP is just the icing on the cake for me too! Had a great night!

This is a refreshing addition to Utah. Very thought out dishes and beautiful presentation. Great options, very satisfying food and the ambiance has a great vibe. Lobster and wagyu options on the menu too. Everything is made in restaurant by hand. Go and make sure you try the dulce de leche cookies - insane! Carne asada fries are a throwback to Southern California Mexican cuisine, highly recommend! Mexican comfort food dished up on fancy dinner wear in an upscale environment. It’s a must try.

This place is a gem. Everything we had was terrific. Obviously the birria tacos are a huge hit!! The ceviche was delicious as was the queso poblano. The space is great, and the service was excellent.

This restaurant has only been open a week so replacing Tortilla Union. I tend to make allowances, but none we're really necessary. The staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. They do serve Coke products here although they were out of Coke today. Not the end of the world but this was the only issue we had. They gave us a Coke Zero for free, so that was considerate.
The chips and salsa were very good with housemade chips. I ate all of it. We decided to go light and ordered a taco plate each (two tacos). An Asada and a chicken on the recommendation of our server. Both were very tasty. Even the chicken had good flavor which can be challenging.
I'm glad we had the chance to stop by and we'll definitely head back nextchance we get.

My wife and I went twice in the first few weeks of being open. We have not been disappointed in anything. We got to meet the chef/owner who is really trying to make a special place here. Food has been top notch, stellar wait staff that is very knowledgeable. I'm telling you, go now, because it won't be long before everyone knows this to be a treasure, and the wait for a table will be insane.

Tried this new place that just opened, upscale Mexican food perfect for this upscale place. The flautas were amazing, the staff was attentive, and the rice was off the charts. Chips and salsa to start, the salsa was too spicy for me but I can't handle spice. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the bland black beans. The churro donuts were the perfect finisher.

Awesome food! I went there half expecting to have a good but overrated traditional Mexican dish, but my expectations were blown away! The taste was incredible, it was so flavorful, and I never had one bland bite. The wait was also quicker than other places at the time, and the overall price was less too. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and will go there again, and bring the entire family!

Went here for dinner once and I was amazed. The tacos I got were great, the staff was very courteous, and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. The bartender Jessica was amazing!! She was constantly checking on not only us but the other patrons at the bar as well as the tables she had. Will definitely be back again!!
