Mar y Sol Mexican Food

I ordered the beef chimichanga, and it was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The service was good. The gentleman was nice and courteous. The decorations were whimsical and colorful.

Ordered to go camarones al a momia (mummy shrimp) shrimp wrapped in bacon with salad and it was very delicious. The nice server even gave me some tortilla chips. They only give free tortilla chips for dine in. So, I gave him some tip. Nice place, good customer service and delicious food.

Best Mexican food in Juneau, hands down. We go here on a pretty much biweekly basis. I mostly get the enchiladas plate, but occasionally I shake things up by getting the tacos plate. Both are sublime. A tip? Ask for two sauces; I usually get mole and verde. And now I'm hungry.

Absolutely the best place in Juneau. They have the best tacos I have ever had. Can't recommend them enough. The owner is so nice and amazing. The staff are so attentive and kind. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. I went here for my birthday and it was the best meal ever. Mine was more on the spendy side because I had a platter for my birthday but it was worth every penny.

I had Mar y Sol’s terrific Mexican food at a meeting where their food was brought in. The tacos were fantastic, especially the salmon and halibut options. Beans, rice, salsas, and guacamole were also good. Highly recommend this excellent local spot.

As a chef I am impressed with a consistent flavor but as a customer I absolutely love the California burrito, tamales especially pork but even more so the Molé sauce is all just perfect. I ate here three times today and even though I should be ashamed I'm not. It's definitely my favorite restaurant for now. And possibly forever. It's always fresh, always hot and always fast service within reason

Food is super good, but Hostess is not friendly and the waiter is good and helpful.

When I stopped, I enjoyed tasty, fresh, gluten-free king salmon tacos.

Lovely authentic Mexican food served with love and made with local ingredients. Great service. Will come back. It's a little Latin spot on town that will remind you of the culture. Had some corn tacos with grilled fish and did not disappoint.

Best Mexican in Alaska! Really good tacos and enchiladas. All of their salsas are homemade and delicious!

Notably High quality. I hesitant to say "authentic" because, really, how would I know? But it tastes like food where corners were NOT cut. No alcohol, which is rare for area but seemingly intentional. Fact that restaurant can survive without alcohol sales a testament to how good the food is. Definitely worth a visit. Get it to go if party needs to continue non stop. Food scene in Juneau strong. This place can hold it's own in a strong scene.

So I grew up in Southern California and these little taqueria type places were all over. Mar y Sol reminds me of some of the good ones we had back home. Good flavor in their asada, consistency of beans is good, great variety of salsas, chips are fresh. Service has always been good. I'd been dying for a place like this and when I want Mexican food this is my #1 choice in town.

The best mexican restaurant and food in town all is very good

My first time eating from here and all I think about is the money I've wasted cooking when I could have spent it here. Im writing this as I eat my tacos because they are amazing and deserved a 5star rating immediately. They are delicious and cooked perfectly. Everything from the onions to the lime and green salsa this is exactly what I was wanting. Thank you. I will definitely come back.

Great service and good carne asada burrito! They were one of the few places open on 4th of July!

Been eating there since they just had their food cart. Food is outstanding. Authentic and reasonably priced. The pork is incredible. Crispy on the outside... nice people too.

This place is absolutely immaculate! The ambiance was next level. I felt like a was in a mexican romance novel with my boyfriend. The wait responed non verbal dinning cues like sticking the menus out to the side and noticed as soon as we finished out water. THEY HAVE A HOMEMADE SAUCE BAR. GO NOW ITS THE BEST!
