Awesome game cafe. The best I've ever been to because the vibe is immaculate. It's like a bar, with a restaurant and lounge. Indoor and outdoor seating. And very spacious.
Also tons of games. Played Uno and Settlers of Catan.

They have a happy hour M-F from 4-7 where you can get a $5 beer if it’s one they brew themselves which is great bargain! The place is much bigger than the location in DC, possibly has more games, and doesn’t charge for the games either (at least at the time i went there). Overall great experience!

The Board Room VA is related to the original in Dupont (although differing owners run each place). You'll find a diverse 50+ mix of rentable board games from yesteryear (flat $2 fee). The VA location offers food as well, and it's pretty good from my experience. Much larger space as well. Beyond board games are TVs with sports games on. Plenty of tables, Woot!

FOOD: Pub Food. You'll find a mix of salads, appetizers, soups, flatbreads, burgers, and some entrees. Large portions especially on sandwiches and entrees, nice pricing too! I'm a fan of the "BLT" Grilled Cheese (toasted sourdough with Applewood smoked bacon, sliced tomato, grilled romaine, white cheddar, smoked tomato aioli) and Spicy Fried Chicken sandwich (a less spicy take on Nashville Hot Chicken), both piled with shoestring fries at a nice $12 price. Options for vegetarians as well.

There's a separate Champagne Lounge experience tucked away on the side: Ms Peacocks Champagne Lounge. It has its own look and feel and item drink and light food menu. The unique drink menu focuses on wine and more than 40 varieties of sparkling wine and champagne (and process range widely from moderate to uber pricey options), along with craft cocktails. Quite cozy space.

Fun place! Has a wide selection of board games for groups of any size. The house beer is great, food is pretty good too.

We enjoyed this place. The Oktoberfest beer was good. We also had the calamari appetizer. It was good. We played shuffleboard and yatzee. They have a patio and are in a good location. I would definitely recommend this place.

Date night, amazing food. The steak tenderloin sliders and fries soooo good. We also had mahi tacos, also done well. The tortilla for the tacos is different, light and doesn’t make you feel heavy. It was packed on a cold rainy fall night but it’s such a comfortable, warm environment. I’m a closet geek and my boyfriend is a heavy lifter gym rat. It was so nice to introduce him to my nerd side. Nothing too hard, entry level Ticket to Ride Europe. He wants to come back for a rematch. Haha fell even harder for this man in this place.

Loved this shop to hang out. It was a really welcoming space for board gaming. We came right at opening and by noon, there was a decent amount of groups playing games (like Shuffleboard, a backgammon tournament, Cards Against Humanity).

Board gaming was free even though their site said there's a $2 fee. The board game selection leans more party and casual, but they had a few games catered to more avid board gamers like Lost Cities, Wingspan, & Twilight Imperium. Some games were very worn out, but still playable. We came by to kill time before our flight and it was great - never felt pressured to buy anything from the staff. We could enjoy the games as much as we liked.

Parking was easy in the garage that's attached to the building. $4 flat rate on weekends, otherwise $2 for 1hr, $6 for 2 hr, $10 flat rate for over 2hr.

Amazing, food is great, atmosphere is great, amazing business. This place is hands down awesome and a great time. They not only have an endless selection of board games, there are also other games such as darts and the table shuffle boarding thing. The food, is also incredible, not to mention the great and speedy service. There are endless appetizers which all taste incredible on their own. Overall, a great and fun time, highly recommend coming with a group of friends and playing games while enjoying quality food.

Love this place! Great space for groups, decent happy hour. Has TVs for sports with audio. Food is tasty, lots of beer taps, bring your own games or rent them. Also has darts and shuffle board. Street parking is fairly easy.

I thought I already wrote this review a while ago but I guess I forgot…I’m pretty confused about the rest of the reviews and tbh I’m pretty high maintenance lol. I found the bartender delightful (maybe not bubbly and smiley, but that’s just not his personality. Maybe people are taking offense to that?) The food was good too. The games are a bit of a mess lol but if you’re going to a bar to play games you hopefully aren’t super concerned with a missing piece here and there.

Board Room was dope!!! Its like a grown up club house that brews their own beer. You have games, food and drink. I happen to be there for Paint nite. So that tells ypu there is more than enough room to have a party or what not. Cool spot... Short walk from clarendon station. I like!!

Super fast bartenders and wait staff. Very attentive and they remember your last order and name/open tab from memory. Pricing during happy hour was very affordable. We didn't get any board games but the selection was pretty big. Inside was also very ventilated as they had glass walls that opened up to the patio. Beer was good, too!

This is by far the best board game bar in the DC area! our group comes here often. Erica is wonderful to work with if you need a private space. Our group asks for this venue constantly. Thanks Erica!

Great food and atmosphere. Lots of free board games to borrow and play with friends. Made it for trivia night which was a blast. A few taps were out but the beer that was available was good. I especially liked the Kismet Kölsch.

Great concept. Huge space. Games need a bit of refreshing but you'll still be able to have fun with whats there.
