Very friendly environment. The service is amazing and the owner and family are very hospitable. Everything on the menu is spot on. I am not a big fan of the taste of coffee but some of the beverages, you can hardly detect any taste of coffee. I truly enjoyed the Lavender Latte and the cheese board. Go check out this new cafe!!

Amazing spot for tea or coffee or lattes and pastry items. it's away from all the traffic on the main road. Outdoor seating is available. Highly, highly recommended. A+

We found this place by accident and it was a lucky find.
they have nice seating area under some trees on a quiet corner in Berkeley.
The cranberry scone with cream and jam were perfect. The scone was delicious, the cream was not sweetened and the jam was sticky sweet goodness.
We had espresso and a latte which were quite good.
Definitely coming back for tea, sandwiches and pastries.

Exquisite British style tea and sweets, in a serene environment. While this place doesn't have the crazy international tea selection of the Blue Willow tea spot nearby, (my home base) it does have a fine English tea House vibe, with tons of ambience, beautiful pots and cups, and really friendly staff. Best British style Tea House in the East Bay!

I came here when they first opened and loved it. I was greeted by the very friendly owner. I asked for any tea w/o caffeine and a little snack, I told her it was my first time there and to surprise me. I ended up with an amazing freshly baked crumpet biscuit and creme, balanced with a slightly acidic raspberry conserve- delicious, light yet indulgent. Paired with a hibiscus tea (hot) that didn't clot when she added half and half for me. The atmosphere was welcoming and quaint, with authentic souvenirs from the owner's trips to France. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area and would recommend to anyone wanting a sweet bite and an espresso or tea.
NoC is very different from the nearby TeaSpot. NoC has loose tea blends but not with the selection of specific teas (though that's not a bad thing) I would go here to relax with a cuppa and bite to eat vs TeaSpot to buy specific varietals in bulk or have a traditional Japanese tasting experience.
Also different from Phil's- lots less noisy. Phils also feels more like a chain to me vs NoC. One of a kind experience that kind of feels like I'm visiting a nice older relative, if that makes sense.
Def recommend you check out NoC one of these summer afternoons.

This place is so wonderful. The scenery and decor is very beautiful, and the food is well-presented as well as delicious. I had the white rose tea with some tea sandwiches. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. The staff is very friendly, even in these troubling times :)

Delightful tea service for pickup or outdoor dining (I've only ever done pickup). A changing array of treats makes the experience softly different every time!

So good! Their scones were moist and delicious. My boys loved the chocolate chip and shortbread cookies.

We enjoyed some deliciously fresh ground coffees with a ham and baguette sandwich which was of Parisienne caliber! Will be back!
