I had the fried chicken, and I couldn't get it off my mind. I'm here for the second time, and it's even BETTER!! The kind and funny matriarch knows what she's doing and it's at a fair price. This is where I get my fried chicken fix. Picture only shows the breast, I ate the wing and thigh. I upgraded for fried rice for the side. Unconventional and delicious.

Great breakfast spot, foods out in like 2 minutes, great prices, friendly staff.

I read about Valley Restaurant in an Eater article on Filipino/Tlingit cooking that said this is the best place to try the Alaskan style of home-cooked chicken adobo. Let me tell you I was not disappointed!

It was a chilly, rainy day and the meal began with a super comforting arroz caldo that felt like a warm hug. This was followed by our order of lumpia that were perfectly crispy and not greasy.

Then came the main event: the chicken adobo and fried rice. The chicken has to be some of the best I have ever eaten. Cooked on the bone and bathed in tangy broth, It could not have been more tender and juicy. I went for the upgrade to the fried rice with the meal and it was also excellent.

My partner ordered the Chinese noodles without meat. It was a steamy bowl of tasty broth, noodles, and bok choy. Another perfect choice for a chilly day!

The restaurant itself is more or less the sort of roadside diner I grew up with. Booth seating and a big breakfast menu. A stuffed bear greets you at the door.

This is a true locals joint and everyone is friendly. The chef/owner came out and talked to everybody. She beamed with the deserved pride of bringing such pleasure to her friends and patrons.

All in all Valley Restaurant is well worth the detour off you're passing through Juneau and heading out for a hike at Mendenhall Glacier.

If I find my way back to Juneau, I will make it my goal to come back to Valley Restaurant.

Way better and cheaper than Donna's. The service was excellent and love that they include coffee with the price of food. If we're ever back in Juneau we will stop by. Loved that they had the NFL network on, love watching highlights during breakfast. Parking is an issue but whatever, baby Jesus gave you legs for a reason.

Awesome place for any meal of the day. Owners and employees are friendly, hospitable, and very helpful. My family have become friends with a few of the employees. The food is spectacular, bursting with flavor. There is a lot of variety on their menu, from pancakes to omelets to burgers to pasta and everything in between. Love this place, highly recommend.

I love this place. The food is always great. The staff are wonderful - they are like family. They make everyone feel at home. It's just a warm, comfortable atmosphere. I gave the atmosphere a 4 only because I wish the space was bigger. I've dined in, and done take out. And it doesn't matter what meal you order, you can be sure it will be good.

Amazing teriyaki chicken with a fried rice substitute. I like my meat saucy and they did not disappoint. also my girlfriend Hannah says ‘good atmosphere’

I was concerned after reading some of the reviews but my meal was delicious and huge portions. I ordered the General Tso Chicken with veggies, baked potato and curry chicken soup.

A go to in Juneau. If you're in the mood for breakfast, try the Filipino Breakfast. Their fried rice is the best. If you just want burgers or traditional American fair they are so great. A good local family has owned it for as long as I can remember.

Great staff, the owner is like everyone's grandma. So sweet and welcoming.

Valley Burger Dip is my go to, so good, every time.

Food was excellent, but the baseball game, on the TV, was a little bit noisy. (But tolerable), plus other people enjoyed it, so i didn't really mind it.

This place is great! I enjoy how cozy and relaxing the atmosphere is. The food is excellent and at a very fair price compared to other places.

Use to come here for breakfast on my lunch break and this place is still good years later. My wife loves the garbage plate. Fried rice is my go to. Always a good time
