Lovely toy/collectors store with a wonderful and knowledgeable owner. Many interesting collectibles, almost all imported from Japan. Worth visiting!! Lots of vintage anime, toku, sanrio merch!

An unassuming store. If you are not looking closely you will drive right by it. I would say this shop is better for collectors.

It’s only open on the weekends.

Street parking only.

I feel guilty for stopping by without an appointment. They were kind enough to welcome us warmly. I will make sure to think ahead next time. We visited briefly and did not leave empty handed. As others have said there's no collection as wonderful as this one! I was overwhelmed with the selection. The line was moderate with a few people ahead the weekend I stopped by. I was relieved that they accept cards here, and not just cash. Prices are fair considering how unique some of the items are. I even love the cute bags they give to you to take your goodies home in. It's definitely worth a visit!

Interesting little collectors hidaway. Tons of retro vintage stuff along with a couple of newer items from recent anime.

We emailed to get an appointment to shop.
Owner was very nice and friendly. This store is a hidden gem in the bay area. Prices are really good, especially for how niche most of the stuff is.
If you love retro anime and retro Japanese shows then definitely chech this place out!

My son is an AVID Godzilla Fan and has been since he was 5 and he is 22 now. 💗 We have been bringing my children here almost that entire time. If you are looking for amazing Japanese or Asian Classic and Newer made toys and other fun stuff... check it out! 🥰🥰

Please PLEASE be considerate make an appointment instead of walking in! We are still in the midst of a pandemic and the owner Susan has chronic health conditions that put her at risk!!
That aside....
Kimono My House is an absolute gem. No other anime store will have the treasures you can find here, certainly anything like it even online :)

I can't imagine giving this place under five stars, went there for the first time today and it's definitely one of the coolest stores I've been to, great prices for stuff im sure you couldn't find anywhere else except on ebay with 20 dollar shipping, extremely cool shop keepers, love this place and definitely would recommend to anyone, even if you don't like toys, it's just a great place to check out for anyone in the bay area 😸👍

The owner is also a long time fan. She truly loves everything in her collection. Our family visited her shop when my son was looking for Doraemon collectables. She had a lot of goodies, in original packages and didn't just have the stuff, but the story of how she acquired each item. A true treasure in a shop and owner as well.

Wow brings back memory's, new anime and old, has a lot of stuff will need to walk through it a few times to see every thing and even so might miss a few things. I have purchased Astro boy figures and a few other figures they look great, nice sales staff. note out side dose not look like much, no sign but surprises galore await.

OG homegrown anime swag for true 80s otakus! Styling vinyl Akira and Studio Ghibli pins, vintage shirts, and swag from a lot of cult classics like Captain Harlock and Legend of Galactic Heroes and older Gundam series! A real hole in the wall gem if that's your jam!

They are not permanently closed! They are open on 64th Street near Hollis (just 2 blocks from old 62nd Street location), Friday and Saturday only, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It's a larger space and it's worth the trip. Spent a good hour (and $$$) in there. It would have been longer if my wife wasn't waiting!

I have gotten word that the giant pikachu from Japantown was rescued by this place. For that, 5 stars.
