I recently had the pleasure of dining at McNamara's Pub and Restaurant and I can confidently say that it was a fantastic experience. Being from Ireland, I am always on the hunt for authentic Irish cuisine, and McNamara's did not disappoint.

The food at McNamara's is simply excellent. The spice bags, in particular, reminded me so much of home. The flavors and aroma transported me back to the streets of Ireland, and each bite was a nostalgic delight. The quality and taste of the food were top-notch, leaving me thoroughly satisfied.

Came into town from New Jersey and found this fantastic Irish Pub! My husband said the Shepherd's Pie was very tasty. I had the salmon with a buttery rice, fresh carrots and broccoli srrounded by a nice carrot honey puree!! Meg, our server, was very nice and attentive. We sat outside to dine and it was a pleasant experience thanks to some nice upbeat music in the background. Topped it off with yummy summer drinks--Irish Mule and Blackberry Bramble!!

Amazing place, good, and employees! Down-grading the atmosphere Rating because I sat facing a TV showing what seemed like crazy conspiracy News playing, and it was the only one... the rest were playing normal sports channels.

After a long day of touring with our tour group, dinner was good 👍🏾👍🏾

Enjoyed the veggie pasta, fish and chips and cheesecake with caramel and whipped cream topping.

I've never been asked if it was okay if the burger was on mashed potatoes. Befuddled, I said yes, not knowing what to expect, really.

Not only it was okay, it was amazing. That deconstructed burger and mashed potatoes with Guinness sauce was an absolutely delicious dish, and the portion was large enough for leftovers!

The place is nice. Less pub/sports bar, more family-friendly neighborhood restaurant, although it still feels very much like a pub. Staff is friendly and attentive (at least at the bar), and overall it's just a nice and chill place to be. Highly recommend!

Great spot to visit while in the area. Trivia was going on, and everyone had a ball. I had the beef stew. It was amazing! I would recommend it highly.

We happened upon this pub and are very glad for it. If ever we go back to the DC area, we will be back here for. sure

Fun bar, with good food. From out of town and the bartender took great care of me. Cajun fries are awesome. Mostly all the food I saw being eaten at the bar looked awesome. Also they have some classic Irish dishes and drinks, if that's what you're looking for.

The food still fantastic. Tonight our wait, Brandon he was excellent, thank you for good service.

I live right next to this pub and after the lot had been empty for over a year I am very exciting for its opening. My husband came here with his co-workers first and they love the food choices and how it was not too noisy and how they can enjoy having conversation.

When I visited there first time, the bar was packed as there were some games going on but I sat at the table section and it was quite specious. My waitress greeted me quickly and she had been attentive thru out my time there. I ordered regular fried chicken tenders, but they don’t just taste like other chicken tenders I had from other places, they taste very good! maybe because of different kind of coating flour, I don't know. For that, I order take out here from time to time when I’m in the mood for chicken tenders for lunch.

Got a chance to have a brief chat with manager/owner and learn that they also do special event if you plan to have an event here with finger food etc. Ask him more for details.

I can’t speak for the bar part or the live music part as I usually visit during the day. Personally, I’m not a fan of a place where I have to yell at each other for a conversation. I will have to visit there during evening time for more information.

I enjoyed this place. Had a hazy IPA and a Guinness. Both were good. Nice atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place. UPDATE: We went back. Food was good again. Service was great.

The food was pretty great and so was the service. No one at my table had any complaints and the food came out pretty quick. Definitely worth stoping by if you in the area.

I've been here a few times now. I like the burgers, but don't shy away from the Irish Fare. I just had the Bangers and Mash. It was really good.

Definitely a hidden gem of a place, with a great atmosphere for sitting and chilling with friends. Servers are kind and attentive-you can tell they love working there. The food is good too, especially the fish & chips, onion rings and sausage rolls. My friend said the house beer was good too, and the Irish coffee was wonderful! There are definitely options for natural gluten-free foods, like burgers without buns and salads and nachos, but nothing is noted as GF on the menu. I’m sure the servers would be happy to answer questions though if you ask though. Definitely plan to be back!

I honestly can’t think of a way that the Chicken Pot Pie could have been better. If you’re thinking about getting the chicken pot pie do it. Fluffiest pastry crust and the inside ingredients were delicious too. Beer prices are great and the live music was a nice touch!

Exceptional food, exceptional atmosphere, highly recommend the sausage role and Irish nachos. The fish and chips are gigantic enough that they split it for us and it was still 2 full plates of food. Staff is super friendly and attentive, and the front patio is nice because you are right near the street without being in the foot traffic of the street like other adjacent restaurants.

Historical Irish Pub on the 23rd Street in Arlington, authentic food and beer, excellent service and atmosphere. Good for business dinners but also families and has a little patio for pets as well. The wings and onion rings are TOP.

This is the only photo I have because I destroyed my meal 🤣🤣🤣 I had shrimp and/or fish tacos, spinach dip, and old bay wings...got enough 4 in-person dining and 2 go. The staff was amazing and I will be back! 😍

Loved McNamaras! We stayed at the Crystal Marriott and had the taste for Fisn N Chips. We did a quick search and McNamara's popped up. It was a quick walk from the hotel, which was nice.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all great! So glad that we stopped by.

This is a really fun place to have a drink and catch up with friends. The tater tot poutine was killer!
Our server was an absolute gem! We had a great time and will definitely be back
