Berkeley Public Library West Branch

A true West Berkeley hub, with a friendly staff, comfortable seating, and easy pickup of items reserved from BPL’s large collections. A wonderful free service for avid readers like me, not to mention the great stuff available via the library website, like museum & parks passes, streaming videos (also gratis).

Such a great asset to the community. Our kids would read books here for hours if we let them.

The library itself is good, especially convenient if you placed order online and stopped by to pick it up. Good variety.
It's annoying they ask you to a wear mask still...and be ready to find some homeless people living in front of the library.

Great to have a local library. Small but dense, with a big kids section and a teen room.

It's a clean well lit place for books, schnooks. A refuge from the madness of daily life.

Friendly staff and great services. Glad to have them so close!

quiet & clean

I love the library

Beautiful space, good wifi. There didn't seem to be a library volume observed, even by staff at the front desk. I was genuinely confused by the lack of adherence to "it's a library, quiet voices only."

Nice place with good selection. And the online resources are great.
