Went there knowing nothing about what I needed, only that I wanted a bike to commute to and from work. Not only did the sales people help me find what's in my budget but they took the time to explain the differences in the bikes and help me get the right bike for me. They were SUPER nice AND patient with me in every way. No sales pitches or pressure to buy anything. They even showed me free demos on how to change a tire, grease my chains etc. Ended up getting a used bike and quite a few needed accessories. Thanks Evie and Emily for the most personable and superb customer service. You guys ROCK!!

I bought a price point bike on Amazon, and I stopped at Alameda Bicycle on Park Blvd. The guys were hanging around, making judgmental comments about my 'mail order' bike, and trying to upsell a derailleur adjustment. I could schedule a repair a week out. Other bike shops didn't open until 11 so I went to Lulu's. Had fond memories of the place from when they used to rent bikes. Mike was immediately helpful and genuine. I wanted to learn how to do the adjustment myself. Some bike shops want to gouge you, or are snooty. Not Lulu's. Great experience and a local business doing honest work.

Everyone at Lulu’s is very accommodating and helpful. It feels like a homey space where you can buy affordable and good quality new or used bikes. Great service :) Definitely will recommend for anyone who needs a bike in Berkeley! 5 stars

Excellent customer service. Took care of my old cruiser in an hour for a great price with care and kindness. Helped me with my ebike and referred me for additional service outside of their scope.

Bought a new bike here for a good price!!! had a few problems with the bike + a flat a couple weeks later.. I took it back and Art fixed all the issues in a few minutes and didn't charge me for fixing the flat, plus got to hear some good stories from childhood. great stop, great shop, great bikes, great customer service!!

Dennis was very helpful and tuned up my bike to ride like brand new! Felt great to support a new local business. Highly recommend to both beginner riders like myself and experienced.

Brought road bike for service, it had a bad unidentified creak and needed new bar tape. Came back riding like a new bike, new chain, seat post was cracked and I didn't know, plus attention to detail with tightening everything. Really good and fast service. Will definitely return.

Owner-run shop focused more on customer's needs than upselling. Good selection of well maintained used bikes at excellent prices. Thanks Dennis.

Uncomplicated & great service!
Bought a cool pink bike for my 3 week stay in berkeley and they bought it back for a third of the original price. Also i had a flat tire within the first 2 weeks and they fixed it for free! Definitely would buy here again.

The people who say they found their stolen bikes here are most likely lying. I had a long conversation with the owner and I have good reason to believe that the bikes purchased here are legit. He is very thorough in making sure that stolen bikes are screened out. I bought mine new from them, and have no complaints. They are the only distributors of Stevens Bikes, a very good Canadian Brand. Even threw in a Lock set for free, and lifetime tune-ups.

Dennis was super helpful and generous with our high school team. If you need a good used bike, support Lulu's Cyclery because they give back to their local community.

I bought a commuter bike at Lulu’s 9 months ago and love it! They helped me pick out the right bike for my needs, gave me a fair price, and the bike’s condition has remained great throughout a lot of use. I had to bring it back in recently because the brakes were wearing out and the team fixed them up right away. Highly recommend Lulu’s!

One of the best bike shops I've ever visited. Been riding for 50+ years and the owners are down to earth honest folks. Been coming here for 3 years now to buy bikes and referred friends here to buy and service their bikes and everyone is so thankful to have a shop which treats you right and charges fair prices for fair and honest service. Would recommend to anyone. Great shop.

Excellent shop for well-built commuter bicycles, both new and skillfully reconditioned. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. They will help you figure out what you need, what fits your riding habits, aspirations, body, and budget. Great service.

Walked miles with my bicycle to get here to fix a flat but was turned away because I had three broken spokes and they can't "legally" (literal words) fix the flat without fixing the spokes.

Edit: Very true. Thanks. Also my initial review was a little harsh. Thankfully someone else helped me get home safely. Since we're giving each other suggestions, I'm sure you're great at what you do, but maybe you should work on customer skills.

Great place, Great prices. The bike was set up perfectly. They had lots of affordable bikes there for all budgets. I am pretty psyched on the geometry of the bike I got which they picked for me. The KHS urban bike was spot on. This speaks to years of ecperience connecting bikes to people. In and out in no time with some laughs in between.

Dennis installed my mirrors on bike and adjusted bike and seat height. We are so lucky to have Lulu's right here in Pt.Richmond. great service and great prices..

My son and I had a flat on a ride. Dennis fetched us. Got us fixed up and bikes were better than before. Amazing service. Great selection.
