Chao Phraya

I went here with my friend to celebrate passing an exam, and it was fantastic! Definitely a gem in Kilmarnock. The lettuce wraps, tom kar gai soup and crispy duck with thai basil sauce were all fantastic, and my friend enjoyed her sushi, as well. I can't recommend this place enough if you find yourself out near Kilmarnock!

They were extremely busy the night we ate here and our waiter was very attentive and kind. I had the green curry which was delicious. My husband had the red curry and it was equally delicious. Red was less spicy than the green. We went back the next day for sushi lunch. It was equally delicious. Highly recommended

A large group of 12 or 15 was there ahead of us. Our waitress, Megan, gave us a heads up there would be a wait, and also told us certain items would be quicker. She is such an asset to this restaurant.......today she was hostess, server, and cashier, doing all with grace and smile.
We had delicious fresh spring rolls, lemon grass and vegetable soups. Followed by Salmon, Tuna, and Albacore Sashimi......fresh, nicely plated and delicious. Saved room for our favorite desert, fried banana/vanilla ice cream/ drizzled with chocolate syrup. This along with a small sake for about $50. We left very satisfied, and ready for our next visit.
So lucky to have this option in our small town/rural setting.

We ordered the Hurricane roll, Eel roll, Spicy tuna roll and Lobster Roll. It took awhile because it was crowded but it was definitely worth the wait.

I regret not dinning in. The Pad Thai and Calamari was great. The atmosphere was very inviting and servers were on point monday night, I wish I got there names. I've been to at least 50 Thai restaurants on the east coast. Chao Phraya is in my top 10. It's obvious this restaurant in a small town takes pride in what they do. Thanks, I'll be Back!

Incredible sushi for the middle of nowhere. Lovely service. Ordered a rather complicated drink, and waitress handled it well. Just go. Came on a Monday night. Order more.

My son, daughter, and I had dinner here tonight. Megan and Ivan were great hosts. We always love the atmosphere, food, and kind service. They do a great job. A staple of the Kilmarnock dining scene. Thank you.

We had another relaxing and well prepared lunch today. Excellent Tempura Veggies and Calamari and fresh Spring Rolls to start. Generous Sashimi portions of Tuna and Salmon, Unagi, Florida, and Vegetable Sushi rolls, were all very good, and artfully presented. We were fortunate to have Megan, again, as our server....she is both polished and gracious. Our hostess, Shelby, is also an asset to this, one of our favorite restaurants.

Very good food. We had the papaya salad, sushi combo #3, green curry with veggies (tip: add the eggplant to the green curry!), And mango with sticky rice. Would definitely order all again.

Absolutely LOVE their sushi! Try the Passion Flower roll :) Service was amazing, super attentive and very polite. Atmosphere is VERY nice... boutique/chic/fine dining... good music playing at a low level. One of my favorite spots!

Duck Curry, Tuna Tartare was outstanding as well as the Sushi! Highly Recommended! Never disappoints!

Addictive. Their curries are so good. I appreciate that upon on request they will make their curries vegetarian such as the red curry. Also, the papaya salad is amazing.

Fantastic drunken noodles with tofu! My three friends also loved their meals!

This is probably the best Thai food I've had since coming home stateside (I've been in Florida, South Carolina, and Virginia). My husband had special, a play on shrimp and grits which he did NOT like - the raw ginger was too much, other parts felt underseasoned, and the risotto-style rice jusy didn't seem right the way we had it. But my pumpkin red curry was off-the-chain good, he and I both enjoyed that, and the fresh spring rolls we had for an appetizer were SO fresh and good, the sauce was just perfect! We also loved the iced teas, very well done. We also had a good view of the sushi, which, while we didn't taste, looked incredibly good and fresh. From the hostess, to our waiter (who doubled as the bartender), and all our cookstaff, it was just a fantastic, friendly experience. We did have to make a reservation, something new for the area we were told, but we were able to get in within 30 minutes. I really appreciated the kindness of the hostess, and the food was well worth the wait. Highly recommend.

Sushi took a while, but was fresh and delicious

Fantastic food and people; can get a little backed up because everyone else thinks they’re fantastic too and they get a lot of takeout orders. But go early, it’s worth the wait if you have one. If I could, I’d come here weekly. Sushi quality is phenomenal, it’s honestly as good, and even better, than the quality of Asian/Thai I find in the city when I make the trek back. Glad I have a local spot to go to for quality food out here in river country. I literally haven’t had one dish that isn’t better than the one before, I love that, and it keeps me coming back.

I had a great experience eating here on opening night! Awesome staff, great atmosphere, and delicious food that's hard to come by in Kilmarnock. Stop by if you're interested in trying something new!

Absolutely love this restaurant! Food is phenomenal. The quality of the ingredients in the dishes is top notch. The atmosphere is comfy and cozy. If you want dinner, make sure to get there when they reopen at 5:30, because it can fill up fast. Definitely our preferred go to restaurant.

Surprisingly good sushi. Service was very friendly. A great place for dad and daughter date.

My friends and I come to your place and love the food. Especially those drunken noodles.
