Great Fortune | Chinese Restaurant

Being new to the area, we asked a stranger which restaurants he could recommend. He recommended Great Fortune. The food is the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. We went during lunchtime on a weekday. The food was brought out quickly and was so hot that we almost burned our tongues. 3 lunch entrees (includes soup or egg roll and fried or white rice) , an appetizer of crab meat fried wonton, and one beverage was about $50. We brought home leftovers that heated up very nicely. We will be back. All the employees were very friendly. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. They have an outdoor area so I asked if our dog was allowed to join us outdoors, and was told yes! As we left, we were reminded to bring the dog when it is nice outside. Our dishes were crab meat fried wanton, moo goo gai pan, General Tso chicken, and shrimp and scallops combination Hunan style. The hot and sour soup was the best I've had in years, and the wonton soup was a deliciously flavored chicken base.

Excellent service and really good food. We really enjoyed the visit but they need to work on the atmosphere a little. Head over to the hardware store and buy a few cans of black spray paint and paint the rusty outdoor tables. Second, take a look at the bar area and figure out a different vibe. Not a pleasant space and certainly not what I'd expect in a nicer restaurant.

Food was served nice and hot. I ordered the General Tso's shrimp. Great flavor not to hot. Moo Shu Pork. My eyes were bigger than my stomach. There was so much food on the plates

Food is awesome! I recommend the combination lo mein. Its enough for 2 people for sure **Edit** went there Thursday night for dinner, and it was so good as always! Try the coconut shrimp. I don't even like coconut and it was delicious! Cashew chicken is a safe bet as well as the lemon chicken. This place is legit

Stayed in Reedville Va for the weekend with family, found this place on google and tried it out . It was about a 25 minute drive from where we were staying but the drive wasn’t bad . The place was well worth the drive ! The service was great, especially loved the Lo Main and fried rice! Service was fast and so friendly!
The food was so good, and so much that we all had leftovers for lunch the next day!!

If you need a drink in Kilmarnock this is the place to go. Awesome, sleeper bar. You would drive right by and never know, but it's more than worth stopping. Fiona was our server and she was delightful. They make all the dumplings and everything right in house and have been since 1997. Highly recommend.

Great Fortune is a staple and treasure. Food is always great. This is the first place I go to when I'm in town.

Service is fast and Friendly. The seating areas are clean. There is plenty of Parking around the building. The Food is cooked Fresh and tastes great. I got General Tsos chicken and it came with large pieces of chicken and artistic presentation. looking Forward to coming back.

We enjoy Great Fortune often. On this visit I tried the Crispy Chicken, it was very good!! I have always found the staff happy and quick. The restrooms are clean. Ample parking and convenient to other shopping.

For all the years we've been dining in or taking out, we've never had a bad experience!

Service was excellent. Everything from the front of house to the back was perfect. Order an Old Fashioned. Get the Glazed Shrimp and Honey Walnuts. Amazing food and service. Highly recommended.
