University Mall Theatres

I have been going to this 5.00 movie theater since featuring Lucy. The theater is clean and neat. The employees are friendly and very efficient in navigating and serving the concession stand. The popcorn is fresh and they use real butter. They have an assortment of snacks and beverages of slushes and fountain drinks. The seats are cleaned. The seating thought has numbers on the top of chair and different numbers on the seats. Clarify this before seating

I've been going here for a while, ever since I was a kid, and I love this theater! Went here with my girlfriend and her brother yesterday and one of the owners (I presume?) asked us how the movie was on the way out, if we've been before, etc. Love the friendliness and love coming here. I hope you guys stay in business forever!!

My boyfriend & I’s go to movie theater!!! This place is so special to him since he has been coming here since he was little, being able to come with him to see movies here is so nice. Everything is so much better priced here versus the chains nearby, I highly recommend!!!

Ticket prices are now $10 (I haven't been in ages) and popcorn is still the best.

University Mall upgraded it’s screen and sound system and now plays 1st run movies for $10 each for everyone. You can get a large popcorn for $6 and a refill for only $1. They also sell beer and they recently opened up 3 little cafe tables in the lobby. I saw Gran Turismo tonight: Exciting, great cinematography, sound, soundtrack, acting - everything technical plus verisimilitude! Gran Turismo isn’t really a movie based on a video game. Instead, it is a movie based on a real-world story that starts with events based on the eponymous video game.

Our family's favorite theater. Only 3 medium sized theaters on the back side of a mall across the street from George Mason University. Now $10 a seat ($5 on Tuesday) since they have switched to running first run movies. Independently owned and operated. The same people run Cinema Arts in Fair City Mall. They just got new regular movie seats, not the fancy reclining ones. They have good sound and pictures. Unlike other theaters, they don't turn up the sound too loud. Concession prices are also about 30-50% less than what the local theater chains charge. The workers there are more relaxed and nice than the big theater chains. Parking is plentiful and close. There are really good places to eat in the same complex, many of which are not pricey since the University is next door. Good people. Good value. A long time community small business.

I love this place! I've been coming to this theater for over a decade now and its great to see how much it's improved. Tickets and concessions are very well priced and affordable, and the staff is always incredibly friendly!

I mean you CANNOT go wrong with this place! So laid back, so local, just love it. I've been faithful over the years, even back when she was saggin' and leakin'. Conditions have improved but the vibes remain (cool)! Stay real, University Mall Theaters. We love you.

Out Geocaching on the first day of 2023 on the GMU campus. Five Stars for the perfect quiet day on campus.

Saw Top Gun Maverick - $8 per seat and indeed, the popcorn is fantastic

Had to select seats prior to going in (typically a decision we make once entering the theater but I think it's a COVID hold-over?)

Staff was a bit lethargic - but oh well.

Place was clean - chairs comfortable - parking ample - no complaints

Its sooo nostalgic for me coming back to Fairfax after nearly 10 years and seeing this theatre is still around, let alone the fact its been renovated and looks so much better than it once did. I hope it remains successful and sticks around for years and years to come!

What more can I say? They survived Covid, still have the best popcorn. Only thing I'd recommend is to clean up the seats... Vinyl is tearing off.

I was raised by this theatre because my parents would give me movie money so they could bang. My folks banged a lot, so I was here at least once a week for a decade. It’s nice coming back home. I promise to stop smuggling candy when you expand your selection. Love you.

No frills- but great service, great popcorn, great candy selection. My only recommendation is to add wine (specifically Prosecco) to your alcoholic service.

Old school theater at old school prices and Rocky Horror! Support local small businesses and save some money. Great popcorn. Yes, the theater is a bit sticky and old but so worth the price.

The entire staff was so kind and helpful, with reasonable pricing on everything. Finally a movie date that doesn’t break the bank. I will definely be coming back to this theatre for future releases!
