I was hungry and I was in the area so I stopped at one of my favorite spots to eat, Casa Latina. I wasn’t too hungry, but I knew that I would enjoy two delicious grilled chicken tacos. I also had an amazing pineapple agua fresca which was perfect with the tangy salsa on my tacos. This place offers an excellent menu and everything is good. They also have a bakery where you can get Latin pastries which are also delicious. Especially with a cup of coffee or tea. Highly recommend this spot for a tasty meal and a cool environment.

Great taste and great vibe. There was a mistake for both orders of our table, but the staff are polite and friendly so they fixed it quickly. I will definitely visit this place again.

Love this place. It tasted authentic and everything was well seasoned. Ordered burrito de carnitas (so good!) some flautas and tacos. The pupusas were good but needed more cheese. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly. The bread was actually really good too. The decoration is great too. Not too much but it’s real Mexican type home environment.

I loved everything I ate here! The chips and guac were some of the best I’ve ever had. Horchata was perfectly sweet and tasted homemade. The mole and pollo empeñadas were delicious. The tacos had a ton of meat inside and the Al pastor was insanely flavorful. Pupusas we’re great too! I loved how this place was really nice inside but still felt like an authentic, down-to-earth and worth the price meal. Can’t wait to come back! I wanna try the flan 🍮

I visited last week, having a strong craving for pupusas. Upon arrival, you'll notice the register and an enticing section dedicated to pan dulce and other delectable pastries. Unfortunately, my group of three and I arrived late at night, and the selection was limited - a clear indication of how popular the offerings are.

Despite being a bit overzealous in my ordering, I opted for a pupusa, a side of plantains, and a taco dorado - lured by the extensive menu. Our waiter provided us with numbered placards for table-side service. The service was standard - not particularly fast or slow.

However, the food was simply amazing! The pupusa was generously stuffed with its flavorful filling and complemented well with the curtido. The plantains were served with beans and queso, a combination that was incredibly tasty! And finally, the taco dorado was much larger than I expected and turned out to be my favorite dish.

Came to Berkeley for a Christmas party last night and decided to try this place for a brunch. The food is delicious 😋 and the customer service is also excellent. You must try the tamales! Connie is the best!

If you love a amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, and great service, this place is an absolute MUST TRY. From the moment we arrived, we wretched greeted by friendly and helpful staff. Seating was plentiful and the ambiance of the dining area was airy and inviting. The food came out promptly and everything was incredibly fresh. I ordered the Chile relleno plate, and it was amazing. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the sauce was delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Breakfast Burrito here was excellent. Went with the chorizo version and a latte. Portion was huge and would definitely come here again. Nice seating area with cool art on the walls.

nondescript restaurant with amazing authentic Mexican food. The pastries are freshly made and delicious and the hot food you have to order is also prepared fresh using high quality ingredients. The dining area is small, but bright, clean, and modern with a southwest feel.

Highly recommend this place! I've been wanting to go here for awhile. Finally came here after work. Had the chipotle chicken sandwich with chips and some pan dulce on the side. Can't forget the horchata which was excellent! My first time here but definitely not my last! Might bring some friends and family here another time. Everything was fresh. The atmosphere was great and was playing lots of bachata and salsa music. Definitely love the vibe here. Hope to come again real soon!

Absolutely LOVE dining here. The dishes all scream home made authenticity. I love the slightly spicy enchiladas verdes. And the mole enchiladas, OMG, delish. All of the desserts are super fun and made fresh. Enjoy!

A little on the expensive side. But this is one of the very few mexican restaurants that are open for breakfast. Thank you!!!
Best breakfast burrito I've had in quite some time. If you're in a 30 minute radius of this place. Looking for a spot that's open early. Drive to this location.

The Quesadillas are great. I always get the shrimp. Yummy. And the watermelon agua fresca is delicious. I tried the hibiscus flower one too. Refreshing. They also have baked goods and I sometimes get the pound cake. Much to choose from.

I remember this place from back in the day when it had more limited menu selections, but now that it has been reborn as a taqueria, and Mexican restaurant, all I can say is. W.O.W.
Though I didn't plan on it, I hit it on the nose and walked in here on a taco Tuesday and the tacos are $2.50 each, and they don't skimp at all. All. I decided to try the works and got one of Barbacoa, one of Pollo Asado, one of carne asada, and one of what they call heritage carnitas.
Now let me just lay it down here. Heritage carnitas are the kind of carnitas that I like above all others. Soft and moist with bits of fat, absolutely tender to the bite, and full of pork flavor, these are the kind of carnitas you would find in Uruapan, in Michoacan, Mexico, at one of the stands like Los hermanos olivos.
The Barbacoa, was incredibly tender, reminding me of perfectly cooked "Ropa Vieja", a Sauteed, slow cooked Cuban skirt steak, and the amount of meat they put in every taco as I said before was impressive.
I got called away before I could finish the other two tacos, so, rather than review them at home after reheating them I decided to go back down there later this week and I will give you guys another review then. But all I can say right now is, that this place is an absolutely solid taqueria and Mexican restaurant, with a really nice staff and located in the flatlands of Berkeley and Easy to access from just about anywhere.
Highly recommended!

You won’t miss it when you are in Berkeley driving along San Pablo, it’s pink outside, full of charm inside. Stop by anytime (per your heart desires) for a cozy sip of Mexican Hot Chocolate, Tuesday for all-flat-rate Taco Tuesday, or Saturday morning after kid’s karate class next door - pick a vivid colorful cookie with your little monkey, and create one more piece of happy memory in this local-favorite pink bakery.

Always my go to place for mexican that is fresh and the vegan options are plenty. It is a popular place so don't be in a hurry. The staff is always happy to explain the ingredients and answer questions. The dining area can get loud with all the conversation.

This place is beautiful -though I only do take out now - it was one of the few places I actually enjoyed dining in for the ambience.

When I miss mom's cooking, this comes pretty close. The service is quick, and staff is friendly. They have an expansive menu, and so theres a lot left I must try. My favorites are the basics: pupusas, enchiladas verdes, and the burrito vegetariano. Oh and pan dulce, definitely pick up some sweets if you can! The portions are quite large, leftovers are inevitable unless you are starving.
