Hopefully to protect other wine buyers, the owner John Fox will find his justice in jail.
He has been a Master of convincing people for years that they have a unique business model that just requires years of patience to wait for your wines.
As a wine professional Federally licensed importer, distributor, wholesaler and exporter, we are quite familiar with all of the ways of which wine is acquired and moves through the system(s) until it reaches the consumer.
There is no such system that exists that requires years of waiting. If the money that is paid by party A, and is given to John Fox or his staff - if that money is actually spent on any legitimate source to procure the wines to fulfill that order then within the same 12 months, after the wines are released by the Chateaux, the wines are available for delivery to the consumer.
John Fox has convinced the public he has some secret method - which no one else in the wine industry knows - that requires, 4, 5, and 8 years that will result in the delivery of your wines.

The money you give to purchase a particular wine and expect delivery of that wine, your money has not been spent on acquiring that wine. If you harass them enough, in 4, 5 or 8 years later, depending upon how annoying you are, they will take someone else money which was given to purchase certain wines and they will finally spend that money to acquire the wines - your wines.
This is not terribly original, this is known as a Ponzi scheme.

Thank goodness so many wine purchasers who had large enough purchases and ran out of patience and lies, have now joined into law suits. Combined with unpaid taxes and all kinds of other legal troubles John Fox is being forced into a corner. I only hope his corner is dark and cold enough so that the justice he deserves is received.
I am hoping to see a criminal complaint which is what John Fox and probably some of the long time managers deserve.
I'd like to see them all in jail right next to Rudy K. so they can work together on their next scheme.

Stay away from Premier Cru - Berkeley- CA.
There are so many good wine shops, people with integrity, who will deliver your order. Just stop and think, why are they offering prices so much lower than anyone else?

The declared bankruptcy and left several of us with orders that were outstanding for years in the lurch. They owe me $4000 worth of 2009 bordeaux futures. Call after call and they always had an excuse. The employees and others associated with this business should be ashamed of themselves. Nothing but a bunch of common criminals. Just remember ... karma.

Kept promising delivery of a wine I ordered, but it never seemed to show up. I asked for a refund and they wanted to give me a store credit or deduct a 15% fee. Not sure yet how that will turn out. I will not buy any wines from them in the future.

I've had orders placed since 12/2014 and early 2015 with no delivery and no status report despite multiple calls and emails inquiring as to an ETA. Now they've gone to online only and don't answer their telephone, No pre-order price discount is worth this ridiculously poor service. Buyer beware!

I bought wine over a year ago (2010 Brunello and 2012 CDP - these brands were available all over the U.S. as of summer 2015) on pre-order with an expected Fall 2015 delivery (Premier Cru set that expectation). It's now January 2015 with no wine, no ETA, and no communication. In fact, they've recently stopped answering their phones altogether to become a strictly online operation, but didn't have the decency to let current customers know that was happening or what the status of their orders are. Now, the only way to communicate is through "contact us" on their website but they don't return those emails, either. Since I don't have my wine and can't get a refund (because no one will return a message), I'm sending a certified letter tomorrow. Absent a prompt reply, I will call the police and file charges for theft.

Be careful about pre arrival orders. Ordered 3 bottles of regular wine. Took 10 calls to finally get 2 of the bottles. Still have not received the third bottle. No communications or good customer service. Borderline fraudulent practices.

Just received a notice from the US Bankruptcy Court regarding this business, I guess I'm in the hole now for $389.99 and won't be getting my 2010 Grange Hermitage!
