Great place and shopping experience, better than buying on line, They Had what I was looking for and more. Sadly with all the stores closing in Berkeley and California for that matter, I was very pleased to see Halmar work clothes still open. If your looking for Quality work clothes stop in and do business with Halmar.!

Absolutely 100% great place to shop for quality clothing. The owner is on the ready to help with any warranty issues you may be dealing with. In my case a button snapped off on a Ben Davis jacket. He was having problems getting a response from Ben Davis so instead he gave me store credit toward any other jacket.
Incredibly honest man and fantastic to converse with.

He has what I need. So I have gone there for over 20 years. His comportment is eccentric, but it's his business, so I have not a leg to stand on. He's never been inequitable with me. If I really don't like it I can go elsewhere. I'm amused every time.

This shop has a tonnnn of stuff- anything carharts you could imagine. So much selection. Owner is nice and helpful. It’s been around for a long time. Store is somewhat hard to find- looks closed on the outside because of the gate, but don’t be mistaken- it’s there and great.

Halmar is a great find because they sell quality work clothes at several price points and they tell you like it is. They have lots of bandanas, priced reasonably, as well as rugged clothing, including offerings by Ben Davis, Carhartt, and some European brands not found elsewhere. I usually stock up here seasonally, whether gearing up for crisp autumn weather or warm summer projects. Very popular gear with my teenage daughter and twenty one year old son. This is an independent store and the owner is a good guy. I trust him.

Still the best place to purchase good rugged work wear. Started buying my Carhartts there 20 plus years back. Now my kids do, as do countless friends, past and present employees.. and the wife. Better than good customer service and for us contractor folks, a little incentive when our workers buy there too. Thanks, KJ of KJM

We were in need of LARGE sizes for several of our car club members. They took great care of us never got attitude about having to place a special order, unlike some other places we looked at, got our stuff in in the time frame promised and we've been doing business with them ever since. Also great that they have gotten us womens Dickies.

the owner has always been helpful with my endless quest for larger sizes & different colors. Every time I've been there he promptly assissted me and never once was squimish about helping a young black male: he's a good man. And i love the old-timey cash register!

This place right here is where it's at! The person run the store was nice and helpful. Trying to buy some over all's did not know what size I was. He told me just by looking at me. If you need good work clothes this is the place.

I work for the Conservation Corps Northbay. I work on the trails in marin county, GGNRA, and MMWD. I need tough clothing for rough work. This place is my go to spot for Carhartt products and the owner is super helpful and a kind person in general. I recommend this place to friends, family and coworkers all the time.

A great store. If there is anything work related you are looking for it can be ordered here. Be sure to ask if you don't see it on the shelves though with such a huge selection of Ben David and Cathcart that is not likely. The selection of work socks is super too.

Best place around to grab my work gear. Carhartt selection is amazing. That older gentleman was very helpful and knowledgeable of his inventory. No need to go elsewhere. Thanks guys
