The best wine shop ever. I've learned more about wine and what I like from their cheap tastings (and the occasional fancy one in the past) than I ever could have by just buying bottles and trying to learn on my own. Great people too - sad to see Elizabeth go, we shared taste in wine!

One of my absolute favorite wine shops in the East Bay. The Wine Mine has a large selection at very affordable prices. I love going in to browse because I find so many things I'd never discover at a big box store, and every bottle in here is good, just depends on what you are in the mood for. The staff are super friendly and helpful -- and somehow they know every single bottle in the place. I've asked for some off-the-wall recommendations over the years and have never been disappointed. They also offer very generous wine tastings Saturday afternoons for just a few bucks and sometimes if I buy a case they throw in a chocolate bar. I can't recommend The wine Mine highly enough

Very friendly staff and owners and of course great tasting wine with an excellent selection. They've got a few beers to choose from too.

Take advantage of their Saturday $1 wine tasting from 2-5!

Really cool wine store, one of the best in the bay area for sure! Tons of unique and interesting wines in the sub $30 price range. The owner is super nice as well!

The owner of this wine shop was amazing with his knowledge of wine and his enthusiasm and good humour. We enjoyed trying all the different wines, about 20 different samples with information about the types of grapes where they are grown and the year of the wines. It was also interesting to hear about the different countries the owner has visited and about all the different visitors to his wine shop. I strongly recommend this place!

My favorite wine store. I am not a very knowledgeable wine patron but more often than not walk out of the store with a fantastic bottle of wine. Give them a try.

I love this place! The $1 tasting on Saturday is a great way to learn about wine from around the world. David and Elizabeth have an outstanding understanding of wine, and the shop's inventory. Stop by and get on the email list for future tastings. See you there!

Hands down the best wine shop in Oakland, possibly even California. The owners know their wine and I honestly don’t know how they offer at such low prices. Always a pleasure to shop there.

Really wonderful selection of wines from all over the world, great prices and owners are well informed and very helpful. I came in to browse the first time, mentioned my favorite wine areas (Cotes du Rhone and CA Pinot Noir) and was directed to a variety of options and prices. Bought 6 different bottles and ALL were uniformed excellent, from the $14.50 bottle to the $25 bottle. Came back for 6 more two weeks later (two were a repeat, four were new) and this time the owner threw in a wonderful bar of Tcho chocolate. I'll definitely be coming back regularly.

This wine shop will shock and delight with its unpretentious vibe, $1 tastings, and wide selection of under $20 wines.

The staff is extremely knowledgable here and can help you find the wine that strikes your mood. They seem to get killer deals on wine and have introduced me to many of my now favorites--I have seen wines here $1-3 dollars cheaper per bottle than other specialty wine shops. I seriously do not know how they get away with their $1 tastings (Saturdays 2-5pm), during which you're bound to fall for at least one of the offerings.
Something about the warehouse-y look makes me feel less overwhelmed here, and the staff tends to come to my rescue when I do.

Limited bike parking available outside and a small lot shared with Mariposa Baking (obviously make this a two birds stop) and others in the complex. Pay attention when you're coming down Telegraph since I've missed the driveway while blinking.

Best local wine store I've found. Reasonable prices and great advice. All the knowledge, none of the snobbery. And a place for the kids to play while you choose your wines.
