I went to Dr. Timothy Fitzer for my upfront Canada immigration medicals.

It was a very good experience and the Doctor was professional and friendly. He quickly put my 6 year old daughter at ease by conversing with her about Peppa the pig. My daughter is usually really scared of any medical visit, but she said she had fun this time.

I also received my results fast so that I can proceed with my application process to the next step. The staff are helpful and efficient.

Medical exam for immigration to Canada. Nice reception and good assistants for the exam. The doctor is humorous and nice. Results came out after 3days. Thanks a lot.

I don't know what is going on over there. Over the years this office seems to have declined, and most of my favorite doctors have left.
The front staff is inconsistent about follow through. There are no reminders for physicals or that blood work is due... That is all on you. At times they came in like champs for me.
I received excellent care when I had a burn, but the ball gets dropped a lot for other stuff. On my most recent physical with Dr. Tanzin, my blood tests were not properly assessed (I had a high number that should have been flagged for retesting due to family history) and the imaging test that was ordered for me for a different issue turned out to be a completely inappropriate test. What a waste of time and money! Dr. Fitzer is a decent Dr., But is extremely aggressive about over-medicating asthma. The steroid prescribed actually made my normally mild, seasonal syptoms more extreme, but that fact was disregarded on later visits. I finally took it upon myself to visit an ENT/allergist that really listened and got my medication on point office also stopped doing any gynelogical care years ago.
In short, I am shopping for a new doctor.

The service, once you get an appointment, can be excellent. All the doctors are well trained and accomodating. The same is not true of the front office staff: one of the least helpful set of folk I've ever met: surly, slow on the uptake, often very unhelpful - as if getting an appointment with one of the doctors for an emergency requires an act of God! The doctors get a 5, the reception staff, a 1, hence the average, 3.

EXTREMELY over priced. Please be careful when using their services. For example i inquired about a chest x-ray and it was $300 which is double what it usually costs... You’ve been warned.

Dr. Fitzer himself was ok and friendly though.
Since he is the only doctor you can find in bay area for Canada immigration medical, I can understand there is no competition, so they can treat people however they want. But I hope they will consider treating people with respect.

Don't waste your time coming here; primary test results are unavailable for more than ten days. They don't answer or return calls. When you go in person for an update, they ask if you call. This place is a joke

Mediocre service and exorbitant rates. This is the only medical provider between Seattle and Los Angeles that does immigration exams for Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. They don't have a website, they don't publish their fax number, they rarely answer their phone, and never respond to voice mail or emails.

What's more, they're not even very good at filing out paperwork and seem to drop things all the time. I strongly recommend flying to Seattle or LA to do your immigration medical exams.
