Cute neighborhood market with fantastic sandwiches, good coffee, overall great selection, friendly staff and very reasonably priced. I love this convenience store.

This quaint little corner store is bountifully stoked to the brim with super good food. Although the after-school rush can get a little busy, the store is otherwise really easy to navigate, and you grab any quick thing you might need and avoid the long lines at Berkeley bowl. The staff are incredibly friendly and have an insider's knowledge on most of the foods they carry, often suggesting the absolute perfect accoutrement to any purchase. Parking is typically available. Also, don't pass on their soup or sandwiches... they always hit the spot.

This is such a cool little corner Bodega! It's clean, has lots of pre-packaged and fresh food and make good sandwiches and soup for lunch time. Yes, a bit pricey but it's a convenience market and I always enjoy the friendly staff.
And ice cream bars. Lots of them. I can get just one or two if I can't decide!

Small neighborhood grocery story with a fantastic mix of corner store staples and fancy extras. Whether you need a nice bottle of wine or a 40, a jug of milk or a carton of oat milk, a box of dishwasher detergent or a jar of pesto, they have you covered. Plus, the staff are just delightful.

Great corner store with an impressive selection of groceries. Lots of "gourmet", organic, or locally-produced items, including Acme bread. They also have a small deli with house made sandwiches/soup/salads. They offer online ordering - you can pick up, or have Doordash deliver to you. The staff is friendly.

Definitely one of the hidden gems off the beaten path in West Berkeley - worth a trip if you're local.

This is a wonderful little market that is packed full of charm. The store used to be Franklin Bros butcher shop,but they kept the name and the charm of the old butcher shop. This is a neighborhood store that caters to the local neighborhood. They have a little bit of everything from fresh produce to lunch meats and cheese. They have beer,wine,soda and juices. They also opened a walk up window when COVID was running crazy. It's closed now but the way things are going it may be open again. They also have a little deli for sandwiches and soup. So come on down and support the local businesses, they are open everyday from 8am to 8pm.

Lovely feel to this terrific neighborhood store. A bit like an old fashioned general store just some more upscale, fresh produce. Nice organic meats and chickens. There's so much to love about it. The owner Jennifer is down to earth makes everyone feel welcome and I can't begin to tell you how delicious their pastries are in the morning and they serve wonderful coffee and you can also buy by the pound. Sometimes they have lovely quiches and other yummy artisan made things. As well as the guilty pleasures junk food ie: chips cookies candy soda and all the stuff you stop into a corner store but here you can learn a lot

Great coffee and pastry stop for those mornings on the go. Friendly staff and while the selection isn't huge, it doesn't need to be because they have the best of everything. Prices are fair and the shop has an easy feel to it. Super happy to have them in the neighborhood.

Cite corner market that will never know is there unless you end up in this residential neighborhood. They have some unique things that others stores do not have. Wish they could make a deli sandwich on Sundays

I live right next to this market and feel so fortunate to have Franklin Bros. It's far from your average corner store. I often go twice a day- to get a fresh coffee and pastry in the morning and again for Acme bread, veggies or wine in the evening. Even though the prices are great, I probably spend way too much money there, but I don't even care because the people are so nice. They know my name (along with many neighborhood faces) and have even let me borrow a tape measure when I needed it. It feels good to give money to a place that is supporting a healthy community. I wish every neighborhood could have a Franklin Bros Market. Thank you for providing an amazing place for us!

Great corner store featuring both what you'd expect from a neighborhood corner store, and a lot of what you wouldn't expect, like Acme bread delivered fresh daily, mirin, esoteric chocolates and high-quality baking ingredients, organics, local wines, a little fresh produce, and a few outrageously delicious fresh pastries, also delivered daily (but get them early!).

They're also doing a bang-up job of protecting their employees and safely continuing business during quarantine.

Very good sandwich and soup, they should definitely try to make their own cookies, well priced too. Next time we'll try to order some groceries! FYI no cash

Great corner grocery store. Nice wine selection, fresh bread and pastries, green produce, take away sandwiches and salads. For a corner store this place has it all! Plus the staff are friendly.
