My son has been enrolled here since his 3rd birthday, and I cannot speak highly enough of the school; his guides are all wonderful and truly care for him, and most importantly they foster a wonderful working and playing environment for the children - going in for observation day and watching the kids working independently, helping each other, cleaning up spills and messes without prompting (!!!) was incredible to see. In general a good community feeling in the school too, from staff to admin to parents. Extremely happy to have had my child in this school!

My daughter spent a year at Guidepost Emeryville Children's House English class, and it's been an incredible journey. The environment is welcoming, and the teachers are dedicated. She's thrived academically and gained independence through the Montessori approach.

The classroom fosters creativity and collaboration, and the individualized learning allows her to explore at her own pace. Communication with staff has been excellent, and I've seen remarkable growth in her confidence and resilience. I am grateful for the enriching experience and highly recommend it to other families.

Our child has attended since she was around 20 months old. She has since graduated to the Children's house, and we love this Guidepost. She started in an English-speaking class as a toddler, then transferred to Mandarin immersion when she reached the Children's class. I was concerned she might have trouble with the adjustment, but the guides there are so great and understanding: Ms. Vivian, Mr. Joe, and Ms. Becky and all of their other guides have such incredible training and truly know how to encourage a child's development. Our child gets to pursue her interests and develop her interpersonal skills with other children. We've been so lucky to have this school in our own neighborhood!

We are friends with parents who enroll their kids in similar schools. GP is by far the most friendly for dual working parents in terms of hours, support, etc.

Aside from being the most parent-friendly school, the results for our child is also amazing so there are no trade-offs. Our boy joined GP early at 18months in their Toddler class and grew into their Children's House class. We love the clean grounds, well organized classrooms and the independence that the school promotes in children. All the teachers are high caliber, professional, trained educators. They call us immediately if our child gets even a little bit hurt.

Our experience with Guidepost at Emeryville has been nothing short of exceptional. Our journey began with our daughter starting in the toddler class, and later transitioning to the Mandarin-immersed Children's House. The Montessori-based approach at Guidepost has truly empowered her, fostering a strong sense of independence, cultivating positive behaviors, nurturing confidence, and enhancing emotional regulation. We are immensely grateful for the incredible care and guidance provided by the remarkable guides: Ms. Vivian, Mr. Joe, and Ms. Becky from the Children's House, as well as Ms. Karla and Ms. Emilia from the Toddler Class. Their dedication and expertise shine through in every interaction, and their daily feedback has been invaluable in supporting our daughter's learning journey. In addition to the core team, special mention goes to Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Shelby, Ms. Annie, Ms. Zoey, and many others who have gone above and beyond to make our daughter feel at home. Their unwavering commitment to accepting and nurturing each child's unique qualities is truly commendable. We consider ourselves fortunate to be part of the Guidepost Emeryville community, where our daughter is not only learning and growing academically but also flourishing in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Our daughter has been with Guidepost for 3 years and we can not imagine her anywhere else. The care she has gotten, starting with Ms. Florence and Ms. Evanni as a toddler, and now with Ms. Vivian, Mr. Joe, and Ms. Becky, has been amazing. We wanted to send her to a Mandarin immersion school because having her be bilingual is important to us, but we did not know she would also be learning so much about self-reliance, nature, the arts, and mathematics. The school also fosters a great sense of community with seasonal festivals, creating a water park in the summer, and staying open late for parents' date nights. We feel very thankful to have found this school!

Our 21 month-old son has been in the toddler program at Guidepost Emeryville for 3 months. Our experience has been nothing short of amazing. Our son loves going to school to see his teachers, Mr. Miles and Miss Mariah. He thrives in the calm and organized environment, and adores exploring the various activities his teachers put out for him. We’ve seen a massive explosion of words in the last few months and an increase in focus and responsibility. He spilled some milk while helping make his morning smoothie and went to get a cloth to clean it up. This goes to show that the activities are not just age appropriate and stimulating, but focus on life skills.

Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Shelby are also incredibly helpful and responsive. They’re always there to greet us by name and with a smile when dropping off or picking up. You can tell that they care about the Guidepost community, especially the students and parents.

We’re very happy to be a part of the Guidepost community.

Since March 2023, my daughter embarked on her journey at Guidepost, just a bit over 2 years old at the time. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience, particularly as she transitioned to the Children's House. Under the guidance of the experienced educators, including Ms. Karla, Ms. Emilia, Mr. Ezra, and Ms. Sadie at Toddler's House 101, and Ms. Vivian, Ms. Becky, and Mr. Joe at Children's House Chinese class 206, she has truly blossomed. Her confidence, independence, and verbal expression have all flourished. We eagerly anticipate watching our daughter continue to thrive in this wonderful community.

We absolutely LOVE guidepost. Our oldest has been here for 3+ years and our little one is about to begin. The teachers genuinely care about our kids and I love having a "team" of people rooting for my kid! We have an amazing community - both for our kid and with the parents. Couldn't be happier with our choice to enroll our children in Guidepost.

Our little one just started in the Nido infant class and is thriving! We were so worried about the transition, but Mrs. Yvette and all of the teachers are so wonderful and kind. They guided us new parents and helped make the environment so warm and welcoming for our baby. It's only week 3 but our little one is eager to go to school to see his teachers and friends!

My daughter is very attached to me and my wife so we were concerned that how she would adapt to life at daycare. She did cry at drop off for the first week but then she can’t wait to go to daycare from 2nd week on. Guidepost Emeryville is very clean and room is filled with light. Oceanne loves her teachers, Florence and WenWen that I can tell she feels comfortable being with them. Headmaster Stephanie is amazing as well that she seems to know details about every kid at the daycare. If you want your kids to learn mandarin, this is the place!

We love Guidepost! Our LO is enrolled in the mandarin immersion program and his guides Ms. Nana and Ms. Annie are so wonderful. Stephanie the director of the school knows and greets every student by name. It’s a real community and our LO is thriving! We couldn’t be happier with our choice to send our son to Guidepost.

My son spent 4+ years in Guidepost Montessori Emeryville in their Toddler and Children's house Chinese immersion classes. I must say this is one of the best decision we made for our kid. We are very happy with the progress of his behavioral and mental development. Over the years, we could really see how he gradually became a self-dependent, polite, curious and explorative young boy. Not to mention he has a very good handle on Chinese and Advanced Math until now in 1st grade!

Special Kudos to Mr. Joe, Ms. Zoey and Ms Becky for their generous care for our son!

We have been enrolled for 5 months now, and I am continually impressed by the dedication and expertise of the staff!

In the Nido program, my infant daughter adores Ms. Yvette and is always eager to go to school. The love and attention she receives from Ms. Yvette and the other guides in the classroom are truly heartwarming. They ensure that she is happy, safe, and well taken care of every day.

Similarly, my oldest daughter is thriving in Ms. Sheshe's English preschool program. We are amazed at how much she has learned and grown in such a short period of time. Ms. Sheshe has created a nurturing and stimulating environment where our daughter feels confident and empowered to learn and explore. She is so independent and loves helping out at home thanks to everything she has learned in the classroom.

Overall, we couldn't be happier with the quality of education and care provided by Guidepost Emeryville.

Enrolling my daughter in Guidepost is one of the best decisions I have ever made. She started in the Nido program, where she received phenomenal care and attention under the guidance of Ms. Yvette. The facility was organized and peaceful. Her food intake, nap and diaper schedule were all meticulously documented, which really put me at ease as a first time mom away from my baby. All the guides knew her likes and dislikes, to the point where they would update me if she ate less of her favorite food.

We were sad to say goodbye to the teachers in the Nido room when my daughter transitioned to the Toddler program, but it only took a couple weeks before she was completely in love with Ms. Florence and Ms. Evanni. She would come home and tell us all the things Ms. Florence and Ms. Evanni did with her. Her language (English and Mandarin) and social skills blossomed since she entered the toddler program. From all the songs and dances she bring back home, she seems to be having a lot of fun over there!

The principal Stephanie is extremely organized and approachable. She has the uncanny ability to recall any minute detail about the school, including the names of all the kids. So far there has not been any of our questions that she is not able to answer, or concerns she cannot address within a day or two.

The school itself is very accommodating for working parents. Guidepost has the least number of planned closures per year of any daycare I know of. They are open half days even on some holidays. When they had to close down due to unplanned maintenance, they were able to send guides to individual homes to care for groups of children, which is truly above and beyond.

I cannot recommend Guidepost enough. I am so glad to have found this place for my family.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Guidepost Montessori, especially in classroom 101 with teachers Ms. Emilia and Ms. Ashly. Their dedication and patience with the children are truly remarkable. Our son has thrived under their guidance, and we’re grateful for the nurturing environment they provide. 🤍

The staff are all so welcoming and kindhearted. My son is happy at drop off and happy when I pick him up. He’s been there less than a month and is already picking up mandarin. As a working mom the opening hours and flexible pick up times are such a big help.

Myself and entire family LOVE Guidepost! My little chicken nugget has been attending Guidepost for about a year and a half now and we can see ourselves going anywhere else! My kiddo started off in the toddler classroom with the AMAZING Ms. Marlene and his favorite teachers aide Ms. Lali. They made my already verbal kid even more verbal and were a huge help in getting him potty trained by 2yrs old! Once he was potty trained and met some developmental milestones, Guidepost did not hesitate to move him up to Children's House! Here is where he has really thrived! He is now in a classroom with 3-6yr olds, and I feel like he learns something new EVERYDAY! His teacher Ms. Sheshe is impressively attentive to all the children, and is still able to give each of the parents a detailed breakdown of where their child is developmentally. But the star of the show in my kids eyes, and mine is Ms. Karina! We ADORE Ms. Karina, she is personable and truly has a love and care that she brings to every child. She allows room for independence while still leaving room for assistance if need be. To manage a classroom with so many kids, and yet still remember my kiddos schedule and life, amazes me everyday! We truly love our Guidepost family, and lets not forget the staff! Ms. Shelby and Ms. Zoie are always pleasant smiles to see in the office every morning, they keep the Guidepost ship running! Lastly, our head of school Ms. Stephanie, she has an infectiously joyous personality! She is someone you just want to hang out with! Ms. Stephanie plays a big factor in why we continue to re-enroll each year! So if you are questioning whether or not your kid should attend, book the tour and come see for yourself!
