Going to this store was the best decision I made! Jerry is absolutely amazing. He really knows his stuff and didn’t pressure me to buy on the spot but I ended up doing so anyway. They have great deals and were willing to beat a price on a mattress that I saw on sale online. Go here if you’re in the market for a mattress! You won’t regret it.

I went back for another bed (for my guest room this time) and was helped by the manager, Jerry. He helped me a few years ago with a bed for myself and I was happy to see he was there on this day as well.

This store has a wide variety of choices and well-trained staff to help you find what feels right for you. We had an excellent education in the variety of mattress choices available. The sales person did not make us feel pressured to choose a mattress. We found two that we both liked a lot. We will sleep on it (on our old mattress) and return tomorrow to make a final decision.

Had such a great experience shopping for my new mattress and frame at Mancini’s in Berkeley! I had gone to a couple of different locations and wasn’t too impressed and always walked out empty handed. As soon as I entered this location I was greeted by a warm welcome from Jerry. He took the time to listen to my needs and price range and was very helpful in guiding me to the proper mattress. I ended up walking out spending twice as much as I had originally planned but I truly cushy be happier with my decision. Jerry really knew what I wanted and needed and did his best to accommodate that- and he truly went above and beyond. Everything was delivered within a week of purchase and the men who helped carry and assemble it all was very quick and helpful. I’m very grateful for Jerry and all his help. If anyone is in need of a new bed this location will not do you wrong!! If I could, I would give Jerry 5 stars just for being so patient, kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and amazing!!

we had a great experience at Mancini‘s Sleepworld on Ashby in Berkeley. The sales person, Ronald Keith was really informative, patient and very fun to work with. Even though it is unlike us, we walked out the first day we went in and purchased a bed. We are very happy with it!

Sorosh is very knowledgeable and patient. He helped me with finding the right mattress that fit my budget. I had so many questions and he was so willing and patient in answering. He taught me a lot about the different types of beds for different needs. I am very happy to have had such a great customer service sales representative on site for assisting me. Much gratitude!!!

Went with a friend last week to help her choose a new mattress. The store has a wide variety of brands and types of mattresses, frames, etc to choose from. Jerry was very attentive to my friends wants/needs and helped us find some good choices within her budget. She ended up buying a tempurpedic bed, and Jerry threw in some good deals and made the process easier than expected. No pressure from him to make the sale, and he took his time to thoroughly explain all answers to my friends questions. When I need a new mattress in the future, it'll be Jerry I go to!

We came in here shopping for some new pillows—not certain we would find the right ones and make a purchase—and ended up not only with new pillows, but with a great new mattress. This is not to suggest that we were oversold, but that they were incredibly helpful in helping us find just what we were looking for. Sorosh was incredibly helpful and patient in partnering with us to understand what we were looking for and to provide a variety of relevant options and info to help us feel great about our purchase.

My expertise of buying a new mattress at Mancini’s couldn’t have been better. Jerry Kite, the effervescent store manager, truly made our day when we went in to the store. My daughter and I stopped in after I had an unsettling (understatement!) experience with my old mattress. Let’s just say it isn’t fun to have mice build a nest in your mattress (ahhhhh!). Jerry not only helped me process this challenge by being both engaging and funny, he also expertly guided me through the process of finding the perfect replacement, and gave me an excellent deal as well. Scheduling delivery has been easy, and suffice to say I’m grateful. Highly recommended.

My partner and I just moved into a new house and went to Mancini’s to find a new mattress. We never leave reviews, but after working with Jerry Kite to find a mattress for our primary, and then coming back to get a mattress for our guest room, we just had to spread the word. Jerry helped us find exactly what we needed—with patience and a smile. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help guide us along the process!

Mancini's store IS the place to be if you have a back pain, have too many sleepless nights, or need to improve your posture. I feel buying a new mattress is very helpful. However, in order to choose a good one , it takes time, some knowledge and patience. There are soft, medium and firm mattresses made with memory foam, latex, innerspring and hybrid(innerspring +foam).
The Firm is for back, stomach sleepers or large people. Also, it is good with people with mobility issues because it is easier to change position without being stuck inside the mattress. The soft mattress is good for the side sleepers. The medium mattress is good for the people that have some back pain. Firm mattresses last longer than soft, although firm mattresses get softer overtime. If not dedicated to any sleep position, the medium is the best choice. This store has soft, medium and firm versions of all foam, innerspring, latex or hybrid mattresses. The memory foam is less expensive, latex is more expensive, innerspring is with simple design, hybrid is more expensive. Your old mattress can be recycled. Around 80 percent of most mattress components can be recycled. Donate your old mattress to Habitat to Humanity non profit Organization, list it as free on craigslist or let Mancini's store to pickup it when they deliver you a new mattress. The process to buy a mattress is relatively slow. It is better to take a time to choose the right one. In store, representatives allow customers to lie on the bed to see how you feel. There is no pushing or rushing of any kind. Some mattresses have huge discounts. Best one is probably a hybrid mattress but it is more expensive. It takes around 3 weeks for mattress to adjust to your body, min. 21 nights, so that your new mattress can get to know you. The prices for mattresses are from about $300 to up to $25000. Remember this: you spend 33 percent of your entire life sleeping on the mattress you just about to purchase. Also, people can survive longer without food(about 8 weeks) than without sleep ( only 8 to 11 days). Good luck in you purchase. Recomend!!!

Went today on whim and had amazing service from Sorosh. My wife and I left with a better understanding of comfort, a new mattress purchased and now we can't wait for it to arrive. Happy to support a local business. Would recommend working with Sorosh if looking for a new mattress/bed.

After having poor experiences with a few of the newer mattress in a box options, I wanted to purchase a more traditional mattress. I did a bunch of research online and came to the conclusion that it would be best to visit a store to try out mattresses on my own.

A mattress can be quite the investment and I wanted to make sure I was making a good decision. I was able to try out a bunch of mattresses from different brands and they even had a few of the newer brands (Helix, Avocado, etc.).

Jerry and Sorosh were very kind and didn't make me pressured to buy anything. I mostly worked with Jerry who helped me with choosing a mattress by starting off with questions about budget, preferred firmness, etc. He took the time to answer any and all questions I had and suggested additional considerations that helped me with narrowing things down. When I read some conflicting information online about the layers in a mattress I was looking at, they took the time to double-check things on their end before providing a final answer. I can be somewhat annoyingly thorough when asking questions and I sincerely appreciated how they took the time to provide me with thoughtful and knowledgeable answers. They also offered drinks (and even some of the food they had from a nearby restaurant, haha) while I was there.

I was able to purchase a mattress that I'm excited about at a great price and left feeling happy about purchasing from a local store from people that I genuinely liked.

The mattress I purchased was available for delivery the next day and the delivery process was super smooth! I was able to choose a delivery timeframe (I think it was morning-noon?) when purchasing. I received a text the day before delivery with a 2-hour timeframe for delivery with the option to either accept or reschedule delivery. An hourish before my timeframe, I was able to call and immediately get in touch with someone who was able to tell me how far the delivery truck was and approximately when my mattress would be arriving. I was able to have my existing, sad mattress removed by Mancini's too!

And there's easy parking at the location :)

Really pleasant shopping experience. I got a couple pillows and Jerry and his sales team were very helpful. Took a couple micro naps on those beds even!
