Jennifer is usually in charge. She might seem intimidating but she’s a good person. Helen is my go-to person, she’s great!

Loved this place! Ask for Annie if you want a women’s haircut, she did an amazing job. She understood my vision and was so good! The shampoo was great and she was meticulous with the blow dry as well. They welcome walk ins here too

Best spot ive been to in the bay. Yes it’s only cash but a lot of shops are. It helps them not increase prices like those that take credit card. (Haven’t raised prices in 2 years+!)

I think they have alot of good people that can cut hair. My favorite is Kimmy! Shes simply the best at cutting my hair and shes so friendly. If you stop in ask for Kimmy to cut your hair!!

They take walk-ins. They’re consistent. They’re affordable. No other place like it in a 50mile radius.

Cash-only so arrive prepared. Prices are lower than most places but the quality doesn't suffer. I make up for it by over-tipping since it only seems fair.

I recommend calling ahead for an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but there's sometimes a wait of 30-40 minutes. They do their best to keep things moving.

There's no muss or fuss with TVs or brews. It's just a simple barber/salon. No complaints, here.

Great place! Jasmine has been cutting my hair since around 1999 or so in a different location. None of the hair stylists are new. They’ve been doing everything “hair” for decades, this is just a new location where all of the best are in the same location now. I wish them all great luck and I’ll see you again soon.

Best haircut in the Bay Area. I’ve lived in the bay for 28 years. Jennifer has cut my hair for over 10 years. Best decision I made.
It’s also the best price you will find. Do yourself a favor and become a regular customer.

I have been to this place a few times and it is now my go-to place for a haircut in the East Bay. To begin, this barbershop is extremely affordable, for the service provided, compared to other local barbers. A $25 men's haircut, with a straight razor included, is unheard of anymore in 2022. I have never had a problem booking an appointment I wanted and walk-ins are are welcome. However, you may be waiting 15-45 minutes for the next open chair. For my haircut, I receive a mid skin/bald fade all around the sides, which usually weeds out the good from the bad barbers. I have always been pleased with the quality of work and the time they spend.

Back when I was in college a few years ago, I used to go to an old vintage style barber with the whole 9-yards (Pappy's Barbershop). The authentic barber chairs, straight razors & hot shaving cream/towels, massage, etc. were all there for a $25 cut. Since I moved back home, I have searched for a similar level of quality and price. While J&J The Barbershop may not have the fancy interior decoration or the stereotypical male barber with a beard and tattoos, I can promise you this all-woman run barbershop will help you look fresh again at an affordable price.

I don't have kids, but this place is great for them as well!

J & J Barber Shop is awesome! Best way to enjoy it is to call ahead (they’re popular) and bring cash (the prices are better than most, so I tip extra).
I’ve been going to Jasmine for almost 20 years. She is an excellent stylist! Very consistent, friendly, and thorough. I am so glad to know her and love the shop!

Jasmine did an excellent job with my haircut! I didn't need to give too many instructions - she knew exactly what to do. The wait time for walk-in was also very little (less than 5 minutes). Will certainly be coming here regularly, definitely recommended :)

My 1st time. Great cut at a reasonable price! And there was no waiting. On a Sunday afternoon I think that's pretty good. The shopping center is quite unattractive, but the inside of the barbershop is very pleasant! I think that this will be my new go-to barbershop!

Jasmine is amazing. I’ve been seeing her for years for full service hair care. Highlights are top. My men have never looked better,too. Best old school work with a blade. Jennifer is great too. 2 talented stylists! Great little salon too!

Amazing service!! Impeccable haircuts at an unbelievable price, lowest in the tri valley for men and women. Jennifer has taken care of me a few times as well as rose both I recommend. Please bring cash for an easier transaction and tipping process!

Great new place! The owners are almost always there and they are true pros. Son got his best haircut ever and it was quick. Mine have been great, fast and exactly what I wanted.

Place is clean and new flooring/paint/etc with some nice antique dressers/mirrors mixing it up and making for some cool ambiance.

Prices are great value too! Go check it out!

Jasmine is a great hairstylist and superb colorist. She has been coloring and highlighting my hair since 2009. She is professional, caring, and provides great service. This is her new salon space and it is beautiful. She and Jennifer are following county guidelines and have everything in place to keep themselves and clients safe.

I'm editing my review below from 2 months ago. We gave another chance and this time made sure it was Jasmine who cut my son's hair and he is absolutely pleased with the haircut he got. I guess we will be going back on a regular basis :) thank you Jasmine!!

My son just had his haircut here and it was really really bad. We had taken apt with Jasmine but when he walked in, he didn’t check if it was her. It was some new lady who was in transfer? Or her name was Tran?!? My son is very very disappointed :(
He even told her he doesn’t want it short but she went ahead and made it very short. She also didn’t wear any mask and apparently made him remove his mask although your website says mask is required and staff wears mask too. This was our first time here and we are very disappointed!!! We basically paid $20+tip for the worst hair cut ever! I don’t think we will be going back.

I’ve been going to Jasmine for ten plus years now. She is professional, talented and her salon is meticulous. I highly recommend her for highlights, perms or hair styling. Both Jasmine and Jennifer work hard to make sure you leave happy. I highly recommend them for men, women and children.
