Panaderia La Michoacan

Found this place looking for fresh masa. They make it to order, I ordered 10 lbs and it was ready the next morning. The texture / moisture was perfect for tamales. The people who run the store are very nice and attentive. I haven't had a chance to try anything else yet but I definitely am excited to go back after my initial experience. They also have lots of snacks, herbs, and other things I haven't been able to find other places locally.

I come here for the Pan Dulce, but they have a lot of other stuff for sale. They carry your typical soft drinks, they have groceries and cakes. The people there are really nice and the location has a decent amount of parking spots. They also take cash or card at the register.

Cooked carnitas is AMAZING at this place but they run out early only on Saturdays and Sundays. Their breads and deserts are good too. Their Mexican candy is awesome the wife says.

The butcher shop is great. High quality chicken, steaks and marinated options for different cuts of chicken and carne asada. The in house Pico de Gallo is fresh and the ceviche is excellent.

So nice to have this shop in our local neighborhood. I probably go every week to get fresh homemade pico de gallo that I don't have to dice myself. Overtime I've tried a large variety of their freshly made pan Dulce offerings. It took me a while because I'm not as used to Mexican pastries, but I found my favorites and they're awesome. Also, wonderful Meat Market a lot of times I get this for one of our Taco nights. My only complaint is they're not exactly value prices for their Dry Goods or refrigerator items.

So glad I found this place moved here a year ago and needed a Hispanic shop for my grocery items now and then that was family owned and I'm so grateful that I found this place fits all my needs! Love the place. They have everything I need. There butcher meat fresh cut and price is no different from the large markets, in fact a tad less expensive.
The salsa especially the green one yum fresh Mexican bread.

Great people and customer service! They are super friendly... they all speak English very well, not that it matters; the only reason I mention it is because I get to practice my Spanish and they are totally game! The meat is bomb, super fresh, and good quality... ask them to put their special marinade on it. They are not chintzy; they will weigh it first and then put their awesome marinade. Their Mexican pastries are awesome. Best of all, and definitely the best in town, is their homemade salsa; it is seriously off the hook and reasonably priced. I can’t get enough of it!

Everyday they make fresh pan dulces. They have fresh carnitas, hand cut chicharonez on Friday, Saturday's and Sunday's. They make 3 leches cakes, salsas, even have quail eggs. The meat market is stocked well and so are the spice and seasoning isles and wall.

My mom is turning 104 years young tomorrow! She loves the cold cut, Head Cheese. I Googled and found this shop, called and they had it. Went there yesterday to buy some for the mini croissant sandwiches I am making for her lunch tomorrow.
She's in a skilled nursing facility in Chico, but we will be allowed to have lunch, cake, presents with her wearing masks and 6 feet apart.
This shop has a little bit of everything. Including traditional Mexican pastries! Check it out one of these days :-)

This is a nice family owned business. The owners are wonderful people, and they value their customers. The bakery items are delicious. I especially enjoy the conchas and strawberry empanadas. Yum!

I love this place great Mexican pastries .it reminds me of when I was a little kid and went to a similar place back home . They also have a great selection of meats. If your looking for carne asada this is the place. Anything you need for a Mexican fiesta you can find here even pinatas. Glad we have this place in Chico .

Great little tienda with lots of variety, including a meat counter! Can't wait to come back and try their different pan dulce.

The entire store and people in it are fantastic. Yummie bakery and fresh meats, chichrones so delicious! This is the best kept secret in Chico The prices are resonable too.
