Mise en Place Kitchen

Awesome! Took my sisters out after picking up an item in the area. They have a cute little bistro that also has outdoor patio dining... I had the chicken crepe with the lavender Lemonade (OMG), my sisters had a chicken salad sandwich with the Acia smoothie and the breakfast crepe and lavender Lemonade. Everything was unique and delicious.... I highly recommend going here

A gem! I almost don't want to tell you about this fabulous corner cafe with an amazing outdoor space because it will get insanely busy very fast! Come for the delicious, fresh food by created by Chef and co-Owners wife and husband team. Thank you for the lovely space and meal. I'll be back!

This IS one of those spots you'll kick yourself over and over after eating here because you'll wonder why you wasted good money elsewhere!
Mimosa was good, hard to mess up.
Onto the mains - lox waffles, etc.
Huh? You might think, maybe you'll just stay with the lox bagel?
No!!
Hard pass, go for their "x" on waffle specials and you can't go wrong.
Seriously well-made - both pretty and delicious without any nitpicks at all! Waffles were made perfectly. Enough crisp on the outside, softer inside, to hold up the cream cheese, lox, and onions. The balance of the toppings were perfect, too. Not too heavy, not skimpy. From beginning to end, every bite was just "good", "good", "good"! Tasty lox, not too thick, just right in amount. Ditto with the other dishes - pretty, delicious and balanced.
Not much space indoors to dine, but outdoors is perfectly fine. Relaxing spot for brunch on a lazy weekend.

Amazing food! The heirloom tomato tartine is insanely good and pastries are great too. The pink latte and the mocha were delicious. The service is a bit slow (they need to hire at least another person) but if you don’t mind that it’s a great breakfast or lunch spot.

This place is amazing (especially if you’re gluten-free!). The tartines and crepes are made with such amazing and thoughtful (largely local) ingredients and the garden seating is ideal for couples or larger gatherings. So much detail to flavor! (ever so thinly sliced lemon rind... crispy cheese on the edges of the tartines...) Thank you for your passion Mise en place!

We really enjoyed this place. The food was amazing, quality and taste. The decor is great too. The staff super friendly. They are relatively new and happy they opened. Try the gluten free sliders! We will be coming back soon!

This cafe is is fabulous! I love the outdoor seating area and house made treats. The tartines are amazing! I highly recommend this place if you’re anywhere near the Berkeley area

New Berkeley spot has wonderful flavors and a perfect outdoor space that isn't in the middle of a road like the other pandemic restaurants. Tried it twice so far, was impressed by the thoughtful composition of flavors. Will become a habit for me, I can tell.

My friends and I all loved the food, and the patio was a wonderful spot to have our lunch and visit. I'll definitely go back!

Truly an excellent cafe. Coffee is bright and flavorful, sandwiches are nourishing, pastries are divine.
